Davon Grant Davon Grant 6'5" | SF Dekalb | 2026 State IL (Dekalb)
This was my first eval of Grant and I came away very impressed. The 6’5” small forward is tough as nails and plays taller than his height with his long arms. He did almost all of his damage in the paint on seals and using his high-motor around the basket. Elite offensive rebounder with a tremendous second jump. Also liked how well he defended against a top 10 senior that was way taller than him. Did hit one three, but will need to round out his perimeter shot to max out, but we came away very intrigued here.
Mickeis Johnson Mickeis Johnson 6'3" | SG Romeoville | 2026 State IL (Romeoville)
Johnson is a scoring two guard with strength that can get buckets with a feathery pull up jumper. Plus spot up shooter from three that brings athleticism on the defensive end. He had a really nice 17 point outing vs Bloom.
Andre Tyler Andre Tyler 6'4" | SG Simeon | 2026 State IL (Simeon)
Tyler is starting to come into his own with his new team. The Simeon 2026 shooting guard has a ton of projectability to like with his length, size, and athleticism. Very good slasher that has great finishing tools around the hoop regularly recording and-1s. Capable shooter and multi positional defender.
Steven Brown Steven Brown 6'1" | PG Riverside Brookfield | 2024 State IL (Marist)
Brown kept it up for a second straight weekend with his elite motor and athleticism combination up front. Super bouncy power forward that rebounds with force, finishes everything with pop in the paint, and is starting to flash a three point game more and more.
Jacob Baumann (Aurora Christian)
Baumann wasn’t the 2026 guard we were expecting to have a big game for Aurora Christian, but he did just that making seven from beyond the arc proving to be a lights out shot maker at 5’11”.
Rico D’Alessandro Rico D’Alessandro 6'4" | PF Whitney Young | 2026 State IL (Whitney Young)
Maybe the best we have seen this 6’5” combo forward play. The well built forward put it on the deck for straight line takes and even showed a little shake for scores. Hits the offensive glass and can stretch with spot up shooting. Good rebounder.
Marquis Clark Marquis Clark 6'2" | PG Whitney Young | 2026 State IL (Whitney Young)
Clark is one of the top 2026s in the class. The combo guard is a silky smooth ball handler that can shoot it off the bounce and catch from three. Burst with the rock in his hands being able to finish around the cup effectively with either hand. Does a nice job getting others involved, but is definitely a score first guard.
Rykan Woo Rykan Woo 6'1" | PG Whitney Young | 2026 State IL (Whitney Young)
Woo was a spark for the Dolphins coming off the bench against Benet draining a trio of triples along with using his shake off the bounce to get to the cup. Willing passer that can set others up as a lead guard.
Charles Barnes Jr Charles Barnes Jr 6'6" | SF De La Salle | 2026 State IL (De La Salle)
Long and rangy small forward who has his best basketball ahead of him! Quick to the glass, slashes from the mid-range, and is a plus defender that can guard multiple positions. Like the upside a lot here.
Gabriel Sularski Gabriel Sularski 6'5" | SF Lemont | 2026 State IL (Benet)
Sularski is looking more and more like the top dog in this class every time we see him. The small forward is a southpaw with great size and skill. Plus spot up shooter that can also pull up on his own from distance. Creative ball handler that gets to the cup, but is aware enough to find his teammates as a passer. He has so many tools to work with at a young age!
Amir Danforth Amir Danforth 6'1" | SG Rockford Auburn | 2026 State IL (Rockford Auburn)
Danforth is a plus spot up shooter that has a ton of arc on his shot. Connected on three triples to open their game against Springfield Southeast. Settle a bit too much for it, but did go onto make some plays in transition and was a lockdown defender on the perimeter that takes pride in that end of the floor.
