D’Alessandro is a player I have seen play a few times this April and the more I watch him the more I appreciate his game. He has a vintage game and would thrive in a Saturday morning men’s league due to his versatility. Your give him an inch he will take a mile. He was able to score off the ball from behind the arc and is shot ready off the catch. D’Alessandro filled the lane as a crasher and came up with scoring chances. He plays with an active motor and finds ways to stay involved in the game.

Rico plays with relentless energy and passion, embracing a hard-nosed attacking style that overpowers defenders. He does most of his damage in the interior—whether finishing off drives, elevating with power at the rim, or battling on the glass for second-chance points. His physicality and nonstop motor make him a tough cover.

Defensively, he brings the same intensity, jumping passing lanes, sliding with ball-handlers, and covering ground to protect the rim. There’s a lot to like about the Maine South product, especially his effort, but refining his ability to slow the game down at times will take his impact to another level.

Rico had a field day against Griffin, showcasing his ability to finish through contact, convert and-1 opportunities, and frequently visit the charity stripe. He proved to be a strong-handed rebounder, securing possessions effectively. During a transition play following a teammate’s steal, Rico gained ground and capped it off with a powerful two-handed dunk. Later in the second half, he impressed with an off-the-backboard alley-oop jam. His athleticism was on full display throughout the game.
