<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>After a long weekend of games in Romeoville I've compiled a list of players in the 2024 class that should be on coaches' radar in the summer going into the next high school season.<br><br><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2049703' first='Bryce' last='Salek'] (Yorkville) 6'5<br></strong>Strong college frame with high-level athleticism. Bryce runs the court hard and is capable of catching lobs. Salek has a good shot that can become consistent before he gets to college.<br><br><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1295497' first='Josh' last='Aniceto'] (Bolingbrook)&nbsp; 5'10<br></strong>Super quick guard that does an excellent job at distributing to teammates.&nbsp; If you back off him he is capable of making shots from three and the mid-range. He is vastly under-recruited.<br><br><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1541232' first='AJ' last='Levine'] (York)<br></strong>Levine is an excellent drive-and-kick PG that can also make you pay if you underestimate him. AJ plays with some shiftiness in his game. Above an average ball handler who can shoot and take a bump to score when in the lane.<br><br><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1541243' first='DJ' last='Strong'] (Bolingbrook)&nbsp; 5'10<br></strong>DJ has fast twitch reflexes that he uses to get many on-ball steals. Offensively he makes shots from the wing and corner area with consistency. Pure dog on defense. Has received some JUCO looks after this weekend.<br><br><strong>Philip Erickson (St. Ignatius) 6'2<br></strong>Erickson is a plus-shooter. He started the event off with 9 threes in one game. Philip is a superb catch-and-shoot target as he worked well in the offense to move for open spots. Small schools should add him to their list if they need shooting.<br><br><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1285522' first='CJ' last='Savage'] (West Aurora)&nbsp; 5'10<br></strong>Savage is a smaller guard who knows how to control the pace of the game. CJ uses ball screens well to get paint touches. He can make shots from all three levels. Savage is a dependable on-ball defender.<br><br><strong>TJ Lee (Romeoville)&nbsp; 6'2<br></strong>Lee is a composed guard who can handle duties at the point and off the ball. He made some tough shots in the game I watched on Friday. TJ has good body control when he gets in the lane. He's a scholarship player for sure.<br><br><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1373438' first='Kenric' last='Mosby'] (Perspectives Leadership)&nbsp; 6'8<br></strong>Mosby is a versatile athletic big man that plays with energy and anger. He is very coordinated for his size,&nbsp; Kenric catches lobs easily. Another aspect to like about his game is that he can shoot on the perimeter and from about 15 feet. A scholarship big man that is sure to get multiple offers from some schools.<br><br><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1978578' first='Alioune' last='Mbaye'] (De La Salle) 6'7<br></strong>Mbaye is an athletic post player who crashes the boards hard. He is a solid rim protector and eats up space with his length.&nbsp; On offense he is a fundamental post player who can score on either side of the rim using drop steps and jump hooks. Alioune for his size is also a pretty good shot-maker from mid-range to the three-point line.<br><br><strong>Ameer Morrow (Simeon) 6'4<br></strong>Morrow is a pure workhorse forward.&nbsp; Plays hard every possession. A glass eater who can send shots back at you as well if you don't locate him on defense.&nbsp; Ameer is a solid finisher around the rim but is also very explosive on dunk attempts.&nbsp; Scholarship player if he decided to go the basketball route.<br><br><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1295522' first='Davee' last='Flowers'] (Niles West) 6'1<br></strong>Flowers is a silky-smooth guard that can be effective on and off the ball. He has NBA range shot-making ability as well as tough concentration to score around the bucket. In lead guard situations he passes the ball well and does a good job at running plays through. Small schools should target him early because he could become an LM prospect by the season's end.<br><br><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1507492' first='Alex' last='Miller'] (Downers Grove North) 6'4</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Terrific scoring forward who just has a knack for getting open on offense. Miller can score from all three levels and does it consistently. Alex is a high volume shooter who takes the best shots available. Small school prospect on a loaded high school team.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
