Every Monday, we at Prep Hoops Arkansas are going to highlight several prospects that have impressed in camps and tournaments over the past few weeks. In the process, we may even shine a spotlight on guys that have been flying under the radar. The state of Arkansas is never at a shortage of talented basketball players. Here are some prospects on the rise in the Natural State.

[player_tooltip player_id='2044901' first='Jeremiah' last='Lowery']-Combo Guard-Little Rock Central-6'1” 2026

[player_tooltip player_id='2044901' first='Jeremiah' last='Lowery'] is a confident player that is not afraid to shoot the basketball when he is being guarded closely. He drives the lane well and is not afraid to absorb the contact. Has a smooth jumper from outside the arc. Lowery does a good job of hitting the three consistently. He makes good decisions with the basketball, and it looks to get his teammates involved in the action early. Lowery is a player to watch out for that has the potential to do big things this season for Central.

[player_tooltip player_id='2028697' first='Skye' last='Davenport']-Point Guard-Pea Ridge-6'2” 2026

Skye Davneport is a point guard that is not afraid to take the game over. Whether it be by shooting the ball or distributing the basketball. Davenport does a great job of driving the lane, taking the foul, and finishing. He has a smooth jump shot and can kill you from long range when he is dialed in. The Arkansas-Fort Smith coaching staff likes what they have seen from the talented point guard and extended him a scholarship offer. Davenport has the potential to have an impressive season for Pea Ridge and is a player to watch out for this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2021838' first='Weston' last='Honeycutt']-Scoring Guard-Westside-6'4” 2025

[player_tooltip player_id='2021838' first='Weston' last='Honeycutt'] can fill up the stat sheet quickly. He has no trouble driving to the basket and finishing. What I like about his game is that he does not mind doing the dirty work and battling for a rebound. Honeycutt can hit from all three levels on the court. Meanwhile, he keeps his hands active on defense. He has the ability to harass opposing players into mistakes just by keeping his hands going and in the passing lanes. Honeycutt earned a scholarship offer from Arkansas State-Newport last month and I expect him to continue to haul in the offers over the next few months.

[player_tooltip player_id='2044905' first='Antonio' last='Whitney Jr.']-Combo Guard-Nettleton-6'2” 2026

[player_tooltip player_id='2044905' first='Antonio' last='Whitney Jr.'] opened some eyes earlier in the month with an impressive showing at the Summerwood Sports Team Camp. He has impressive athletic ability and uses it well to outwork the opponent for rebounds. Whitney Jr. is a player that will battle for the rebounds and absorb the contact while finishing the shot. He can hit the jumper from all levels on the court. However, his work on the defensive side is strong. Whitney Jr. can block and alter the shot of the player he is guarding. He is a player that is going to open plenty of eyes this upcoming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2021917' first='Ben' last='Rockwell']-Combo Guard-Fayetteville-6'4” 2026

The Fayetteville prospect can play the guard or small forward positions with impressive effectiveness. He runs the floor well and does a good job of moving without the basketball. Rockwell handles the ball well and can finish with a shot or find the open man. Rockwell has a good jump shot and can hit from deep. Rockwell battles for rebounds and does a good job of keeping his hands moving on the defensive side. He is another prospect to keep an eye on over the next couple of years. Rockwell has the potential to do big things over the next couple of seasons.
