Nike Elite 100: 5 Best from Thursday Afternoon

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The premier event for rising sophomores and juniors in the country is taking place this weekend at St. Louis University as <strong>Nike Elite 100</strong> has returned.&nbsp; Prep Hoops will have all access for the event starting with the first afternoon session on Thursday.&nbsp; This session consisted of drill work and a team practice ahead of the night games.&nbsp; Here are our <strong>5 Best: Nike Elite 100 Afternoon Session</strong>!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><u>5 Best</u></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Kiyan Anthony (LuHi, NY – 2025)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Anthony is the son of future NBA Hall of Famer Carmelo Anthony.&nbsp; He looked every bit the part of a top 50 player with his work in the drills.&nbsp; Played with pace, crashed the offensive glass, and got after it on D including a nice swat on a pull up J.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Kaden Magwood (Oak Hill, VA – 2025)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The lead guard from the east coast shot the cover off the ball in drill work.&nbsp; He was particularly effective from the corners with his quick and consistent release point.&nbsp; Like the frame, length, and athleticism here.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Nigel James Jr (Cushing Academy, MA – 2025)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>James is a compactly built scoring lead guard that was assertive attacking the creases in the defense for scores in the paint.&nbsp; His strength allowed him to finish through contact with consistency.&nbsp; Also flashed some passing flair in the half court.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Davion Hannah (Nicolet, WI – 2025)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hannah is a long and lean combo forward with explosive athleticism.&nbsp; That showed through with his slashing and thunderous dunks.&nbsp; Played with a good activity level and crashed the glass for second chance points.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Jayden Johnson (Trinity, KY – 2026)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Johnson is from Brad Beal Elite and the Kentucky native has a lot to work with in terms of his frame and skill combination.&nbsp; Couple nice turn around jumpers and blocked a shot in the mid-post area.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><u>Competitive Group</u></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I have done this camp since 2009 and sometime the first day can be really good or really bad on the effort part.&nbsp; Camp director Corey Alexander got a great effort out of the group in the drill work as they went hard and were enthusiastic.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
