Teams like Wasatch Academy and Utah Prep as well as Layton Christian have been great spots for players to come over and play high quality ball and develop. Here are a few new names that are expected to enroll in a school in Utah this coming season.
Highlights
Big time pickup for Wasatch Academy as they look to fill some roster spots left by some elite players moving on to college. Mobley has committed to Ohio State and he is a big time prospect that comes over from Las Vegas, Nevada leaving one power for another. Elite PG with big time scoring ability. John makes everyone around him better and provides a big time scoring punch that is much needed from the PG position in the NIBC. He has a deep bag and will be a fun player to watch locally.
Gig time freshman moving over to Utah that has some unreal upside. Gavin is more like 6’8 or 6’9 and he has some unreal leaping ability. He rebounds the ball well and the feel they have for the game is solid but they will be getting some major skill work and development as he will make his way over to Utah Prep (RSL Academy) and be an immediate impact on both ends of the floor. This kid has D1 written all over him and he is just scratching the surface. Look for him to be a transformed player the next time you see him on the floor starting next year.

Taj joins the Wasatch Academy Tigers and will provide some big time shooting and size on the wing. He is not the only Wasatch Academy player to head to San Diego State either as you might remember Matt Bradley who was a beast in the NCAA Tournament and made it all the way to the National Championship. To think that this kid is only going to get better joining the Tigers and he will be playing at an elite level. This is crazy and he is going to light it up. This kid is big and strong and built for the grind of the NIBC.
Here is the other half of the bigs coming over to Utah Prep as this twin is more of a mid-range stretch the floor prospect who is about 6’7 and he has elite skills as well as he has the mobility to defend multiple positions all while giving you a spark on the offense end as well. This kid is also going to transform as that raw talent is going to turn into legit skill and development over the next few months.

this PF is a five star prospect that has offers from some big time programs and headlining the offers are the likes of blue blood UCLA. Chris is a big time wing that will be able to play away from the rim on this team and make his perimeter play really shine. His ceiling just got higher as he will really make an impact on the team and against the competition he will face. Look to see a different side of his game running with Wasatch Academy.
