The annual DMV Live at DeMatha, Virginia Live Period Shootout (VISAA) and Alexandria City and the first ever VA Live by the VHSL will take place at Saint James, all within a 30 mile radius of each other.
We will take the next week or so breaking down the many prospects for coaches to take a look at in these events, and there’s a TON of them.
Here’s a look at part three of the Maryland prospects at the DMV Live we expect to make noise at the event.
Akbar Waheed | 6’5” CG | Georgetown Prep ’25
Waheed is one of the most talented guards in the DMV, and I fully expect him to have a break through in his recruitment at DMV Live. He has great size at the combo guard position and is highly skilled with the ball in his hands, he is shifty and gets to the paint where he’s a good finisher through contact, he makes tough shots from all three levels and he has a good feel for the game as well.
Frank Siaca-Bey Frank Siaca-Bey 6'8" | C Fairfax Christian | 2026 State VA | 6’8” PF | Georgetown Prep ’25
Siaca-Bey showed flashes at last year’s DMV Live, and it will be interesting to see how much he has improved from last year to this year with a lot of coaches who are going to be watching this Prep team. He has a great frame for his size at 6’8” and he gets up and down the floor well, he can clear out space to finish and rebound in the paint, he has soft touch and the ability to stretch the floor and he can protect the paint defensively.
Patrick McDonough Patrick McDonough 6'0" | PG Georgetown Prep | 2025 State MD | 5’10” PG | Georgetown Prep ’25
McDonough is one of the most fun guards to watch, as he is much more shifty and athletic than he appears and he’s highly skilled with a bit of flair to his game as well. He’s a knock down shooter from deep both off the catch and off the bounce, he can rock defenders with his handle and touch the paint where he has good vision and passing ability and he is a tough on ball defender too.
Justin Bumbray Justin Bumbray 6'4" | SG Good Counsel | 2024 State MD | 6’3” WG | Good Counsel ’24
Bumbray is a very underrated wing who could be a breakout performer at DMV Live and see his recruitment take off if he plays the way he has so far this summer. He’s a strong wing who can attack downhill and in transition where he’s a good finisher through traffic, he is a very good shooter from deep who can make shots on the move and he plays with a high motor as a good rebounder and defender for his position.
Parker Robinson Parker Robinson 6'4" | CG Good Counsel | 2026 MD | 6’4” CG | Good Counsel ’26
Robinson is an intriguing young prospect who had a good first season in the WCAC and should play a much more pivotal role for GC this year. He has good size for a combo guard and an all-around skillset and high IQ that makes him able to impact the game in a number of ways. He can knock down shots from deep, he makes the right plays with the ball in his hands and he’s very smart and has a knack for being in the right place at the right time.
Neiko Mundey Neiko Mundey 6'2" | PG Shabach Christian | 2026 State MD | 6’2” PG | Good Counsel ’26
Mundey is another highly talented young guard for GC who is going to be an absolute problem in the WCAC moving forward. The 6’2” point guard is well advanced for his age as he’s a talented shot maker who can make tough shots from all over the court, he is shifty off the bounce and gets to spots where he can make shots or draw contact to get to the line and he has a smoothness to his game that makes everything look very easy.
Damien Jones Damien Jones 5'10" | PG Grace Brethren | 2024 MD | 5’10” PG | Grace Brethren ’24
Jones is one of those guards who may not look the part when you first look at him, but it won’t take long for him to show that he’s a problem to deal with. He’s as tough as they come and plays with great energy on both ends of the floor, he has a lightning quick first step and blow by speed to get in the paint where he’s a good finisher, he can make tough shots off the bounce and he sets the tone on both ends with his intensity.
