Today, we will be continuing my “Bluegrass State Standouts” series as we break down another group of intriguing returners from the class of 2024. After evaluating the most intriguing center prospects in the state, here’s my list of the top 2024 power forwards in Kentucky to keep an eye on this upcoming season.
At the top of my list of standouts is Johnny Djema Johnny Djema 6'8" | PF Evangel Christian | 2024 State KY , a 6-foot-8 power forward at Evangel Christian High School. Djema was an explosive weapon on the court for the Eagles during his junior stint of high school basketball last year. In 30 contests, Djema was one of the most efficient scorers and the third-best rebounder on the roster, picking up a total of 188 points and 140 rebounds, averaging 6.3 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. Djema additionally shot 43.5% (67-154) from the field, 39.0% (23-59) from beyond the arc and 70.5% (31-44) from the free throw line.
