Well, we covered some players at some PF Circuit events, so now we’ll look at 5 players that made my spring from other various events.
Lewless was flawless this spring. So much so that he made my spring. I’ve always really liked what he brought to the table and it was on full display in grassroots season so far. Lewless was smart and savvy with the ball and was one of the better passers I’d seen all spring. It was nice to see his explosive scoring abilities to, as he showed that when his team needed it, he could fill it up in mass quantities.

Haight was a player that I just honestly had never really watched or evaluated. My fault, not his. Well, he made me very aware of him and his game skills this spring. Haight is way more than “on the radar”. The young man showed that he’s a bucket. Honestly, he was consistently one of the better and more consistent shooters throughout grassroots season so far.

I was lucky enough to see Tropea play in Lansing this spring and he made it well worth the trip. I’ve been saying for years now that he can line up with some of the best lead guards in the state. Well, he’s doing a great job of making me look way smarter than I am. Tropea has shown that he’s brought his offensive game and scoring abilities to a whole new level.
Don’t let the young man from Chelsea slip under the radar. The Chelsea program is developing a thing for cultivating young guards and Boos could eventually be next man up. Don’t look at his stats, instead look at his influence on the game. He’s a big time energy and hustle player that goes 110% from tip to buzzer. Boos is a really nice perimeter defender as well.

Googins was just lights out with West Michigan Future this spring. He did grassroots season just way it needs to be done. Googins was a consistent scorer and right around a double-double in points and rebounds in a lot of games this spring. He scored with athleticism and toughness around the bucket and showed off a very effective jumper as well.
