I saw a lot of players that made my eyes wide and my pen hit the paper. It makes my day when I see players like that. The chance to see special players “Made My Spring”. I’m going to give an example of 5 players that I saw on the Prep Hoops Circuit that made my spring!
I saw Lyles play a couple of times in Columbus and man did this kid look like the real deal. He was a big shot maker and a big shot taker. In the 15u division, he had a next level frame and the strength to go with it. Lyles and his positional size and strength was tough for opponents to defend. He had volleyball line range on his jumper and the ability to shed off contact on his way to the bucket.

Harris was impressive to say the least. Getting the chance to see his explosiveness and strong and creative finishes at the rim definitely made my spring. He was one of the better all around athletes that I’d seen focusing on the 15u brackets on the Prep Hoops Circuit. Harris played with a next level speed on both ends of the court, creating a lot of chaos for his opponents.
Edmonds was just lights out at the Prep Hoops Circuit’s Rumble In The Rapids early in the spring. He was a constant tone setter and lead ball handler for his Swish 2026 squad. Edmonds set the offense and got the ball where it needed to go. He was solid with his ball handling, attacking the rim and creating for himself and his teammates.
I really enjoyed watching Traden Booker play on the Prep Hoops Circuit. I think he’s very underestimated as an overall athlete. He’s smooth up and down the floor and can create while in motion and finish with a bucket. Booker showed explosiveness in his scoring and the ability to groove his shot. Booker is definitely a player to keep an eye on with the Ohio Clamps 2026 as we move toward July.
Highlights
I saw Nicholson at a couple of different venues on the Prep Hoops Circuit and seeing him play certainly made my spring. The young man is an elite long athlete that just always seems to be around the ball and making plays. Nicholson is a threat from anywhere on the floor and really fits the term of positionless basketball very well. He’s a 2 way player that can score through and over top of the defense and can defend multiple positions.
