<p>The ND 2024 Rankings were updated last week. Today we are looking at 11 of the top players from Fargo and West Fargo.</p>

<p>This got me thinking...What are college coaches looking for when evaluating prospects? PHD came up with a list of qualities that scouts might be looking for. We also believe the players on this list possess most of these attributes/qualities: <strong>Size/length</strong>, <strong>advanced skills</strong>, <strong>athleticism</strong>, <strong>competitive spirit</strong>,<strong> work ethic</strong>, <strong>basketball IQ</strong>, <strong>decision-making</strong>, <strong>teamwork</strong>, <strong>coachability</strong>, <strong>productivity</strong>, <strong>efficiency</strong>, <strong>high character</strong>, <strong>leadership</strong>, and <strong>ACADEMICS</strong>.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">It's important to note that college basketball recruiting is a competitive and multifaceted process. Individual colleges and coaches may prioritize certain attributes and skills based on their specific program needs and playing style.</p>

Sem is having a fantastic and highlight-reel AAU season with Sanford Sports Academy. Jeremiah has D1 offers from Au0026amp;M Commerce, UND, and many more colleges are interested. James is always trying to make a play and he will do about anything to get his hands on a rebound. He has one of the best short jump shots in the State and is very good at creating space. James will be looking to get the Bruins to the State Tournament in the 2023-2024 season.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["1144600"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"State Champion, All-Tournament Team at State, and an All-EDC selection. Zeller averaged 13.3 ppg, 8.8 rpg, 1 apg, and shot a scintillating 61 FG%. Zeller is a grinder, a hard worker, and gifted finisher around the rim. His patience, pivots, and shot fakes are a work of art. Carter will be a beast once again next season. He is also a talented football player that is gathering a good amount of interest as a recruit.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["1161524"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"He was All-EDC and a key factory for the Eagles who finished 3rd at the State. Dan was names to the All-Tournament Team at State and he averaged 12.8 ppg, 4.9 rpg 4.5 apg, 2 spg, 48 FG%, 35 3FG%. Yorke has had a very good spring and early summer with Bears Tail and the Eagles. His 3-point shot has really improved and he is a skilled overall player. Dan is an exceptional athlete and he will be one of the best guards in ND this next season.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["1164786"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"All-EDC and one of the top u0022newcomersu0022 in the EDC this past season. Leal put up impressive numbers with 17.8 ppg, 10.8 rpg, 1.6 apg, and solid a 52 FG%. Tony was monster around the basket. He is a creature! If a player does not like contact, they will not want to mess with Mr. Leal. He will be one of the best low post players in ND next year. Tony is also receiving a large amount of interest as a football prospect.","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_5_player":["1306390"],"_player_evaluations_5_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_5_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_5_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_5_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_5_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_5_evaluation":"Fear the Duerr! An All-EDC player this past year that averaged 10.4 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 3.9 apg, 1.8 spg, and he shot 35 3FG%. Early in the year it looked liked Caleb would only be a 3-point shooter. I thought he really improved his slashing and playmaking ability over the course of the seson. Duerr has great shooting mechanics and he is a top-notch athlete. Caleb is a multi-talented dude that excels in football, basketball, and baseball.","_player_evaluations_5_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_6_player":["1557677"],"_player_evaluations_6_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_6_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_6_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_6_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_6_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_6_evaluation":"He is an electric and dynamic athlete! Alpha is an impact player with his length, extreme hops, and productive rebounding. Last season, the Eagles won the EDC and took 3rd at State, Alpha was a big part of that. Camara averaged 7.7 ppg and 7.8 rpg this past year, I will not be surprised if he averages a dub-dub in 2023-2024. Whenever Alpha is on the court, be on the lookout, you never know when he will put down a highlight-reel DUNK.","_player_evaluations_6_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_7_player":["1296796"],"_player_evaluations_7_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_7_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_7_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_7_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_7_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_7_evaluation":"Carvin can score the rock and board up, that is for sure. Fish could easily be a double-double guy and an All-EDC player next year. 13.7 ppg, 9.5 rpg, and 35 3FG% last season. Carvin is a crafty and skilled player. The Hawks have very little size, so Fish has to be the BIG man. Cummings is the new head coach at Horace, it will be interesting to see how that affects Fish and what type of basketball the Hawks play.","_player_evaluations_7_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_8_player":["1161537"],"_player_evaluations_8_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_8_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_8_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_8_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_8_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_8_evaluation":"This will be the Hawks second year playing varsity in the EDC. This will also be Zay's second year as the starting PG. Williams averaged 16 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 3 apg, and shot 30% from beyond the arc last season. He is as quick as a cat and his ball skills are noteworthy. Zay can get rolling and really put up the points. The Hawks have a new head coach, it will be interesting to see how the this Horace squad looks early in the year.","_player_evaluations_8_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_9_player":["1168182"],"_player_evaluations_9_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_9_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_9_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_9_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_9_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_9_evaluation":"He was a role player for the State Champion Spartans. David came on strong later in the season and I was impressed with his game. Shilling might be a role player but he can make splashy above-the-rim SLAMs. I have also seen a few showtime blocked shots from David. Shilling will be a great compliment to the rest of the talented Spartans. Look out for North once again!","_player_evaluations_9_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_10_player":["1480612"],"_player_evaluations_10_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_10_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_10_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_10_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_10_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_10_evaluation":"The Eagles took 3rd at State and Jaxon was an important role player that had some quality games. Beiswenger is a multi-sport athlete with mobility and noteworthy measurables. Jaxon is a smooth shooter that can put up points but there are only so many shots to go around. I like his versatility on defense and his length/skill/athleticism can give defenders problems on the other end. Jaxon and the Eagles will have their eyes on the State Ship this next winter/spring.","_player_evaluations_10_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":11,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-64874de4b6791"} /-->
