Continue ReadingRobert Miller Robert Miller 6’11” | C Pasadena Memorial | 2024 State #64 Nation TX was undoubtedly one of the best talents in the event, a 6’10 forward with a bag of perimeter skills. Miller is comfortable handling the ball and is dangerous when attacking from outside-in. The sky is the limit for Miller and high-major programs all over the country are buying in.
Sam McKinney Sam McKinney 6’6″ | SF Buda Johnson | 2024 State TX opened a lot of eyes this weekend, carrying the ATX Force at times and getting a bucket when they needed him to. McKinney’s size and athleticism lay a solid foundation but his shotmaking ability takes his game to the next level. He offers a lot of versatility too, able to play inside or out. LM/MM schools need to take a hard look at McKinney.
Highlights
Chris Mason had a great weekend in Dallas, leading the Tulsa Hawks to a 3-0 weekend. Mason’s body brings a ton of intrigue alone, 6’6, long, and a rock solid upper body. He’s tough to stop around the basket with his low post game and can knock down the mid-range consistently as well. Jacksonville State, Ohio, and Harding have recently offered.
Brayden Smith caught a lot of eyes this weekend while playing with Jalen Green Elite. Smith’s combination of athleticism and power isn’t something you see every day. The 6’5 slasher had a number of thunderous dunks and also made plays on the defensive end. Smith was certainly one of the best unsigned seniors we saw all weekend.
This weekend provided my first look at UH Elite out of Arizona and Lex Clontz led the charge. Clontz is a deadly spot-up option on the perimeter and tallied a ton of three-pointers on the weekend. He shoots it with confidence and knows how to find his looks off the ball. Missouri-Kansas City was the first D1 offer for Clontz back in December.
