Team CP3 and Team United were put to an early test as both squads from the HoopState squared off in Pool Play on Saturday. Team United would come out of the gates firing on all cylinders led by the exploits of top 2025 prospects Sadiq White Jr Sadiq White Jr 6'8" | SF Myers Park | 2025 State #56 Nation NC ., Mikey Wilkins Mikey Wilkins 6'8" | PF Christ School | 2025 State #66 Nation NC and stock-rising wing Trajan Thompson Trajan Thompson 6'5" | SG Providence Day | 2025 State NC . Team United set quite the tone on defense in the first half as they held Team CP3 to just seven first-half field goals on 29.2 percent shooting to jump out to an early lead.
After that, Team United ultimately never looked back as they cruised to victory and continued to impose their will on the defensive end against Team CP3. As a team, Team United finished with eight steals and forced 13 turnovers as a squad while shooting 47.5 percent from the field as a team. Thompson and White finished with 18 points apiece while Kaden Magwood Kaden Magwood 6'3" | CG Western | 2025 WV and Wilkins finished with eight points apiece.
Team CP3 didn’t have the greatest outing but Zion Collins Zion Collins 6'4" | PG Word of God | 2025 State NC and Isaiah Henry Isaiah Henry 6'0" | CG Greer | 2025 State SC did manage to put together solid all-around numbers on the rebounding and scoring front. As they learn to limit their turnovers as a unit, they’ll be a force to be reckoned with. In the end, Team United got a 69-53 victory and some under-the-radar names put themselves fully on the radar on the EYBL stage in 16U action. Both teams will be back in action on May 26-28 in Session IV in Memphis.
Sadiq White Jr Sadiq White Jr 6’8″ | SF Myers Park | 2025 State #56 Nation NC . put together arguably his best overall performance of the EYBL season as he finished with 18 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and a block on 9/15 FG on the day. He’s an aggressive prospect that’s shown he can finish with authority in traffic and on the break and be an effective presence on the perimeter and in the paint just as well. He’s had a solid overall shooting outing, shooting 55.1 percent from the field through three sessions so far. He’ll just need to show he can be a consistent perimeter forward as well to really tuhe corner with his game.

Mikey Wilkins Mikey Wilkins 6’8″ | PF Christ School | 2025 State #66 Nation NC is another big man prospect that’s continued to stick to his guns as a back-to-the-basket threat and clean up man in the Team United frontcourt. He finished with eight points, eight rebounds (2 offensive) and an assist before fouling out after 18 minutes of action. He managed to battle through foul trouble to find his spots to contribute while going 4/9 FG. He’s shooting 49.3 percent from the field across three sessions and 3-of-10 from behind the arc as well.
Trajan Thompson Trajan Thompson 6’5″ | SG Providence Day | 2025 State NC continues to raise his stock with his EYBL performance with Team United. He had his best performance of all the sessions with 18 points on 7/14 FG and 2/4 3-PT and proceeded to knock down another four 3-pointers across their next 2 games after his 18-point outing against Team CP3. He showed he could be a presence on the glass and defensively as well with five rebounds and three steals. He’s a prospect that continues to show he’s worthy of some looks from DI programs with his length and athleticism.

Kaden Magwood Kaden Magwood 6’3″ | CG Western | 2025 WV didn’t have the strongest shooting outing (3/10 FG) but he still managed to find ways to contribute as a defender and playmaker, producing eight points, four assists and two steals. He’s a heady floor general that knows how to impact the game in a variety of ways with his strong frame and quickness in the backcourt. He’s currently produced 10.1 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 2.4 apg and 1.0 spg while shooting 42.4 percent from the field and 15/30 3-PT. He shot 4/6 3-PT against Mokan Elite to open the weekend.
Kamari Cooke Kamari Cooke 6’0″ | CG Hopewell | 2025 State NC is an emerging presence off Team United’s bench as he showed off his skill set against Team CP3. He went 3/3 FG and 1/1 3PT while racking up seven points along with four assists, three rebounds and a steal. He’s an emerging name to get to know out of Hopewell High School given his prowess on the perimeter as a shooter and creator off the bounce.
Johnniyus Sharpe Johnniyus Sharpe 6’2″ | CG Reidsville | 2025 State NC continues to be a consistent force off the bench in the backcourt alongside Kamari Cooke Kamari Cooke 6’0″ | CG Hopewell | 2025 State NC . He filled up the stat sheet and showed off his ability to get to the free throw line and get free points there. He put up seven points, three assists, three rebounds and a steal while going 3/4 FT line in the victory over Team CP3. He currently ranks third on the team in free throws with 21/29 FT (72.4 percent) across all three sessions so far.
Jaylen Cross Jaylen Cross 6’4″ | SG Caldwell Academy | 2025 State #168 Nation NC struggled a bit on finding his shooting stroke but he did manage to finish with nine points and three assists while going 2/5 3-PT and 3/4 FT. He’s a strong presence in the Team CP3 rotation that should still see his stock rise after this one given his athleticism and ability to get to the paint and make things happen.
Zion Collins Zion Collins 6’4″ | PG Word of God | 2025 State NC continues to show off his exploits at the lead guard role, though he’ll need to limit his turnovers. He had four turnovers against Team United, while dishing out just two assists along with 11 points and nine rebounds (2 offensive). He was another prospect that shot it confidently as he went 4/13 FG and 3/4 FT. As he learns to get others involved and take care of the ball in space, look for more offers to roll his way with Team CP3.
Isaiah Henry Isaiah Henry 6’0″ | CG Greer | 2025 State SC didn’t have the strongest shooting outing (3/10 FG, 0/3 3-PT) but he made up for it with his 6/7 FT shooting at the line. He put together 12 points and six rebounds to show off his ability to make an impact as a slasher and rebounder in the Team CP3 rotation. Even when his shot isn’t falling, he finds other ways to impact the game and makes things happen on the floor.
Highlights
Hayden Assemian Hayden Assemian 6’8″ | PF Powdersville | 2025 State #186 Nation SC filled up the stat sheet though he also struggled in the turnover department given his strength in the paint. He managed to produced eight points, six rebounds, three assists and two blocks to show off his ability to fly around the floor and make his presence felt. It’s only a matter of time before his recruitment starts to blow up with this Team CP3 squad.
