Ayden Davis Ayden Davis 6'9" | C Onsted | 2024 State MI 6-9 2024 Onsted Davis’ All Ohio Red squad only featured six players on Friday evening. Additionally he was only true big in the rotation. Drew a tough assignment in one of the faster rising prospects in the region. Chicago area 6-10 multi faceted forward Darrion Sutton. You are not going to win the length advantage against player like Sutton. So Davis showed a mix of intelligence and toughness by taking his game down to the block. Has no qualms about throwing his body around and appears to enjoy contact. Used his broad shoulders to create space. Does have decent elevation and a soft that belies his thick bruising frame. Aggressive rebounder who attacks the ball. Trending towards being the top post prospect in the 2025 class in the state.
Markus Blackwell Markus Blackwell 6'1" | CG Warren Lincoln | 2025 State MI 6-1 2025 Warren Lincoln The key descriptor for Blackwell is mature. Played up an age group with REACH and you would need a program to know it. Has a mature offensive game that allowed him to score inside and out. Moved well off the ball showing the ability to relocate. Used a clever fall away to score on the block against bugger defenders. Has a good enough handle to play the point if needed. Having huge spring on the NY2LA circuit. That continued Friday evening.
Wyatt Nausadis Wyatt Nausadis 6'4" | PG Traverse City St. Francis | 2023 State MI 6-4 2023 Traverse City St Francis/Newman School (MA) Northern Michigan guard is setting himself up nicely for a post graduate year after leading his regular season team to a state final appearance. Helped his new Wisconsin Playground Club mount a huge comeback against Mac Irvin Fire. Keyed a 10-0 run with two deep threes. I have written it before and I will write it again. When the three is falling there is not much you can do with a guard this physically gifted. Is a composed ball handler who made good decisions when his team got out in transition.
Zander Woodruff Zander Woodruff 6'2" | CG Laingsburg | 2024 State MI 6-1 2024 Lainsburg Woodruff has a well earned reputation as a scorer. Used these instincts to help stage a big comeback for DV45 late Friday evening. Has always been an excellent shooter with deep range. This spring he is using that ability to set up a developing drive game. Left handed but also showed the ability to drive to the right. When defenses collapsed on him he was able to find the open man. Has really expanded his game in the past year. Should be in line for a big senior season and will be one of the top players in the Division III classification.
Layne Risdon Layne Risdon 6'9" | C Zeeland East | 2024 State MI 6-9 2024 Zeeland East (pictured) Despite’s Woodruff’s big game. Indy Heat Red emerged victorious in overtime. The post presence provided by Risdon was major factor. Not a big counting stats game. But made his presence felt. Particularly at the rim defensively. Had a nice late block and was constant presence on the glass. Scored when he caught it deep. Also finished well in transition. Showed good hands and coordination on a particularly difficult catch and gather late in the contest.
