Honestly, I have no idea what I’d do against the Eastern Illinois commit. He’s a top notch playmaker that will leave his fingerprint on this game.

He’s tough and smart with the ball in his hands, having the ability to both stop and change directions on a dime. Quite simply, Blackwell can flat out make plays and create. He can do this all the way to a state championship.

This one is pretty obvious. He just did it last season. All the tools, plus some, are there for another run. I mean really, he’s even better now. Blackwell has a definitive scoring punch working off the perimeter with his handles, hip movement and smooth jumper.

Blackwell put up some impressive numbers that I caught late in the grassroots season. He’s an athletic shooter that can pull up at any time, even in the middle of a dribble combo. Blackwell has that aura of a winner. Probably because wherever he goes, they seem to win.

Blackwell certainly represented Always In My Bag with style and grace. He’s a defending state champion and he played like it over the weekend. Blackwell topped 20 points at least twice, going off for 26 and 24. He’s turned into a guard that you almost have to pick up at half court due to his ability to pull up and shoot on a dime.

Blackwell came into high school known as an elite prospect and he’s done nothing but back that ever since. He’s been feeling his game so far in June. Blackwell has been dangerous with his pull up jumper and has looked smooth and confident off the catch. He has attacked the rim with a nasty crossover that he can go both ways with.

Blackwell helped his Warren Lincoln team win a state championship. He paced his team with a game high 24 points in the 53-39 title game. He’s a smooth guard that can take advantage of matchups by both scoring and distributing. Blackwell shot at a high percentage in the championship game and will do the same during grassroots season.
