Lynden Lions
The Lions have won the 2A state title each of the last 2 years. They always have talent on their squad but it helps when they have one of the best 2024 graduates in the entire class. Despite their best player returning, they will still have some holes to fill from the team this season. Coston Parcher Coston Parcher 6'0" | PG Lynden | 2023 State WA will be graduating, he was a great ball handler and facilitator for the Lions. He had the ability to takeover games as well with his scoring as he could find his spots well. Kobe Baar Kobe Baar 6'2" | SF Lynden | 2023 WA will also be graduating, Baar was a solid role player who would bring energy and good defense to the court.
As I mentioned, ’24 wing Anthony Canales Anthony Canales 6'4" | SG Lynden | 2024 State WA will be returning to try to bring the Lions to their 3rd straight state championship game. Canales is a fantastic playmaker on the court. He dribbles the ball well and can work off the ball effectively too. He scores at all three levels with ease and brings a ton of energy on the court, always supporting his teammates. ’25 big man Brant Heppner Brant Heppner 6'6" | SF Lynden | 2025 State WA will be back as well, with an increased role. He will be able to adjust and handle it just well as he is poised down low in the paint and plays with great patience.
