Chicago. Real Phenom’s top team went up against a monster schedule that included Adidas and UAA teams and while they didn’t get the wins they wanted, they did play some close games against some top teams. Real Phenom Ivan and BSB both did well in Chicago and finished the team with Ivan beating BSB.
Fury Shootout. The Fury event was won by Fury Zurn who beat everybody by 20 plus including a 21 point win over Minnesota Rush in the finals. Rush had a 3-1 weekend beating three teams by a good margins. Northstar Titans Wynia and West Central United both had 3-1 weekends proving top 20 status.
Superior. The Twin Ports Area event was won by the Hoop Stars team that beat both Playmakers squads in the event and others. Not sure who they are or where they are from but Hoop Stars took home the gold.
Denver. D1 Minnesota 17u was in Denver playing a couple teams I’ve never heard of, and a few I have heard of that are okay, and they crushed them. In fact they won their four games by a combined 106 points.
Des Moines. The Rise were in Des Moines playing in the top pool of the events and they did pretty well going 2-2 (if you go 2-2 in your pool most often you are in the right pool!). They beat two locals by double figures, lost a close game to a Nebraska team, and played the same Kingdoom Hoops team that has played D1 Minnesota and Howard Pulley. Rise lost to them 65-49.
