Now Owen is ranked very high but he really showed out this Spring as he was playing some elite basketball and that athletic ability and defensive commitment he has made by getting low and using his strength and lateral movement has really made him a legit prospect. Being able to create your own shots in the half court is important and that is something that he can do. He is not just getting things in transition but his play in the half court is getting better against some top talent.
Tiger has a game that is comparable to a marathon runner. The kid just wears you out. He is always moving and he is always a threat to score or drive if you ball watch he will make an elite pass and drop dimes. That all around game is something that is always oozing as Tiger gets bigger and stronger. Really like that IQ and patience he has on the floor.
There has been a steady evolution of this kids game over the years and he is starting to really rise this Spring. He has been playing some solid ball with the Salt Lake Rebels. Mekhi has been moving the ball and getting paint touches as he draws defenders and either powers through or he finds open players. With other ball handlers on the floor he is moving better without the ball and that strength on straight-line drives is tough as he can plow through defenders.
The kid has a little bit of everything and a lot of scoring ability. He has some bounce and you can see it when he attacks the glass. He has great balance out in the perimeter as he is shooting well from the elbows and 15 feet as well as out at the three-point line. He has a shot to really rise more this summer but is playing well in the spring.
This is just a BULLDOG out there. He plays with a high motor and so much physicality. He is strong on defense and he knows how to play and use his body to draw fouls. One of the best foul drawing guards in the state. He finds ways to get to the rim and finish. He has been playing well in his Spring League games.
