These players will look to make their final mark to colleges entering their final seasons. All of these players on this list have shown the ability to get better every season and will only continue that moving into next season. Here are my breakout predictions for the 2024 class part III.
Benjamin is a double-double machine that runs the floor extremely well for his size. Standing at 6’7″ at the power forward position he can hurt you down low in the post with a bag of moves or hit the occasional outside shot if you give him the space. Benjamin is ferocious on the boards, especially on the offensive end. He has a great pump fake to go up right away for the easy bucket. Benjamin will only continue to get better with his modern-day playstyle.
Clayville is your modern-day sharpshooter from downtown. His ability to knock down any shot makes for a difficult time when guarding him. Clayville can seemingly hit the pull-up three in transition with ease. His quick release lets him get it off over anyone with little space. Clayville is already one of the better shooters in his class. I feel confident in Clayville’s ability to have a top ten ranking season next year because of his offensive talent.
Akande is a player that has a lot of shiftiness to his game whenever moving around on the court. He can hit any shot that the defense gives him. Akande can weave in and out of traffic with his handles and hit tough step back shots. He even has a nice floater game that he can go to in the midrange area. The pick-n-roll is something that he excels in making sure he takes what the defense gives him. His high release point allows him to shoot over most defenders. Look for Akande to have a big senior year.
Payne is a scoring machine and one that will take and make any shot he wants. He is very quick off the dribble pairing that with his tight and crafty handles makes it hard to stay in front of him. Payne is excellent at hitting pull-up and fadeaway shots. He can get into the paint and finish over taller defenders. Payne is great at finishing through contact and drawing fouls. He had a big jump this past year and will look to have a bigger one going into next season.
Highlights
Noble has great two-way ability at the point guard position. His greatest strength is his shooting ability which forces defenses to have to pressure him more than they would like. He has deep range with the ability to get to the rim. Noble has great awareness and knows exactly when to cut for open shots. His defense is underrated as he can poke the ball from behind with ease and stay straight up if someone tries to get past him.
