We are constantly pushing out content during events and then provide recap content in a timely manner after the conclusion of the weekend. Generally, by Wednesday it is time to start wrapping things up because there is another event to preview for the upcoming weekend. That is the non-stop beast of spring and summer grassroots basketball. With that in mind, it is time to put a bow on our coverage from the 2023 Bill Hensley Memorial Run ‘N Slam. We will link all of our articles that have been put out in the last couple of days below. However, we still have a few leftover notes to share from the tournament as well. Let’s dive on in.
Leftover Notes From the Weekend
- Gavin Betten Gavin Betten 6'7" | PF Manchester | 2025 State IN (Manchester H.S. 2025) impressed with his ability to score it with his left hand around the basket. The 6’6” forward is very athletic for his size and versatile on the offensive end. He can attack the basket off of the dribble from the wings or score with his back to the basket. Just a really impressive skill set for the Grand Park Premier 2025 – UAA prospect.
- Sam Singleton Sam Singleton 6'6" | SF South Knox | 2025 State IN (South Knox H.S. 2025) burst onto the scene this winter and I got my first view of him down at North Daviess for their annual holiday tournament. He is a long, athletic 6’5” wing that can play above the rim at the end of his drives. The physical tools and length are what really stand out right away for him. Another talented prospect on Grand Park Premier 2025 – UAA.
- A prospect who I honestly was not familiar with that stood out over the weekend in Fort Wayne was 6’5” forward Trey Yoder (Woodlan H.S. 2025). The pick-and-pop lefty 4-man impressed with his shooting ability from beyond the arc for Indiana Elite 2025 – Team Indiana. His is a name to remember.
- Tyler Raasch Tyler Raasch 6'8" | C NorthWood | 2025 State IN (NorthWood H.S. 2025) is a 6’8” forward that continues to really blossom as a prospect. At the Run ‘N Slam I was impressed with his ability to finish with both hands around the rim and then defend in the post on the other end of the floor. He and Yoder had the high-low game working in a game I watched on Saturday. His recruitment could really take off this summer.
- We always known that Drew Snively Drew Snively 6'4" | SG Zionsville | 2025 State IN (Zionsville H.S. 2025) was an excellent catch-and-shoot threat, but he impressed this weekend with Indiana Elite 2025 – Team Indiana by showing off his athleticism. He had a couple really athletic finishes around the basket including a big-time transition dunk through some traffic. He can really get up.
- Kyle Guy Elite 2025 featured a couple of really impressive physical wings this weekend at the Run ‘N Slam. Melakih Cunningham Melakih Cunningham 6'6" | SF Crispus Attucks | 2025 State IN (Decatur Central H.S. 2025) and Nizyi Davis Nizyi Davis 6'6" | SF Lawrence Central | 2025 State IN (Lawrence Central H.S. 2025) are 6’4”-6’5” athletes with strong frames and some real explosiveness off of the floor. They are poised to have big summers ahead of them.
- Evan Harrell Evan Harrell 6'8" | PF Carmel | 2026 State IN (Carmel H.S. 2026) showed off his impressive ball skills at 6’6” this weekend. He handles the ball very well on the perimeter, can change directions on his way to the rim, and can serve as a legitimate secondary playmaker off of the bounce. Really impressive combination of size and skill on his age for Grand Park Premier 2026 – UAA.
- Justin Curry II Justin Curry II 6'4" | SG Noblesville | 2026 State IN (Noblesville H.S. 2026) is one of the more intriguing prospects in the state of Indiana. He is such a smooth, fluid athlete and high skilled with the ball in his hands. Curry’s ability to make tough shots off of the dribble mixed with his 6’4” frame and elite athleticism should have the college programs pulling the trigger sooner rather than later. Excellent prospect to watch for Indy Heat 2026 – EYBL.
- Anthony Coellner Anthony Coellner 6'2" | SG Carmel | 2026 IN (Carmel H.S. 2026) was impressive as a prospect that I really hadn’t seen much of at all prior to this weekend. He is a stronger, athletic guard at 6’1” that got to the rim consistently and finished at the end of his drives. Skilled guard to keep an eye on coming out of Carmel and playing this spring and summer for Grand Park Premier 2026 – UAA.
