Expert Analysis
Michael Roth | Prep Hoops Scout
One of the fastest rising prospects in Indiana, Cunningham joined a short-handed Wildcat Select squad and has fit nicely into their new starting lineup. The biggest reason for his sudden rise has been a big improvement as a perimeter shooter, Cunningham continued to show that with at least three or four 3-pointers in a Thursday morning blowout victory. His frame and defensive tools also stand out as he looked like one of the better athletes on the court as well. Already holding 10 Division I offers with his first coming in June, Cunningham is seeing a fast rise in his recruitment.

after Saturday at the Charlie Hughes Shootout. He is set to shoot up our Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2025 Prospect Rankings when we give them a full update in July. The athletic 6’5″ wing was excellent on Saturday showcasing his ability to attack the rim off of the dribble, make pull-up jump shots, and connect on catch-and-shoot threes. Cunningham is also an effective defender with his positional size and incredible length. His strong play earned him three more Division I offers from IU-Indianapolis, Miami (OH), and SIU-Edwardsville.

Crispus Attucks won a back and forth battle with Cincinnati Wyoming and Cunningham impacted the game on both ends of the court. A wing forward with good length, Cunningham has the frame to impact the game defensively at a high level. A block from behind that led to a transition opportunity was the easiest way to see how Cunningham’s length can impact the game. Combine that with a couple time and space 3-pointers and a slam dunk to put the cherry on top of a complete performance, Cunningham looks like a player ready to breakout as a senior.
