Tuesday, April 11th, Head Coach Morrison shared some time delving into potential areas for improvement for his guys. He was not complaining at all, rather fielding direct questions about what each of the quartet can improve in the coming year.

Gabe Davenport Gabe Davenport 6'0" | PG Columbia Academy | 2025 State TN – Columbia Academy
Gabe is an elite shooter, and Coach Morrison said as much. And more. He sees Gabe as among of the best shooters in the state regardless of age. He wants Gabe to work on his handle and running the offense a little bit and sees him long-term as an elite shooter from the point guard position. With STARS, Gabe is asked to “use his gifts and shooting is his gift,” said Coach Morrison. He also will find himself in situations within which he will need to setup his guys. Davenport’s next progression will be dribbling. He can also get more comfortable finishing in traffic. Too often he relied upon floaters historically.
Ty Glasper Ty Glasper 6'1" | PG Gatlinburg-Pittman | 2025 State TN – Gatlinburg-Pittman
Ty Glasper Ty Glasper 6'1" | PG Gatlinburg-Pittman | 2025 State TN is really an advanced player. Coach Morrison spoke to Glasper’s well-rounded game and wants TG to take another step with his outside shooting. It is not poor, but it can become the frightening weapon that his slashing and finishing in the lane is now. Glasper earned an offer from Trevecca Nazarene Head Coach Kevin Carroll, newly-named head coach, formerly an assistant at Lipscomb University. Glasper will earn several offers this month, as colleges are able to see him play in-person for the first time.
Cade Capps Cade Capps 6'5" | SG Stone Memorial | 2025 State #210 Nation TN – Stone Memorial
Elite shooter. Elite creator. Cade is next level. Just a week ago I asked if Cade Capps Cade Capps 6'5" | SG Stone Memorial | 2025 State #210 Nation TN is going to get any run with the 17u STARS team this spring, and Coach Morrison, while acknowledging that Capps has skills that could help, stated that Capps will not play up. Coach Morrison is elated with Capps’ game now and sees this team as very, very strong. Capable of winning events. Cade will always be a tall guard, and that makes him extremely attractive as a college prospect. What he needs to improve is on-ball defense. Coach Morrison was certain to say that Cade is not a bad defender, but he acknowledged that CC can get better at defending guards and being better around the arc. This is to be expected and obviously an important aspect of being a college guard, which Cade projects to be. Coach Morrison was thrilled with the weekend Cade had just south of Nashville and gushed about the ability to create shots and get his shot off over decent defenders.
Issac Power Issac Power 6'2" | PG Page | 2025 State TN – Page
Issac Power Issac Power 6'2" | PG Page | 2025 State TN is “an underrated passer,” said Coach Morrison. “He has a balanced game.” Coach Morrison predicts that Power will become more potent with better dribbling and handling. Power is kind of a do-it-all wing guard right now, but he looks like a combo guard with some secondary ball-handler potential if he really keys in on that aspect.
