Purvis was a problem from the opening jump. He was knocking down some three point shots and was not phased by the defender closing out. He showed good vision finding the open teammate for the open shot and was able to create for himself. He was pushing the ball in transition getting some nice finishes in the paint and was using his midrange to get some good stop and pops. When the game was on the line, he dribbled up court with 10 seconds left on the clock down 1. He was able to drive and get a good look at the basket where he got the easy finish at the rim to give his team the win!
Cook was probably the guy who stood out the most as he was dominate in both games for his team. He was a force in the post all night on both ends of the court. He was hustling on defense all night, making it difficult on opposing bigs as he was altering shots, getting charges and sending shots away. He was on the boards heavy in both games and when it came to his offense he was scoring in the post with ease. He looked smooth with his post game and really controlled the low post. Will be one of the top guys to keep an eye on for day two.
Once Maldonado got settled in he turned up the intensity and really gave his team a spark. He is a high energy guard that is everywhere on the court. He is a good on ball defender that can be a pest, he is able to apply pressure on the ball handler from full court, forcing them into bad passes or tipping the ball out at times. He can help crash the boards and even joined the block party as he sent a shot out of bounds when the offensive player thought they had an easy layup. On offense he is a player that can create shots for himself and is a knock down shooter from 3.

Cabeen was one of the players that really stood out in his teams matchup. From the jump ball he was a player that was active on the boards and was thriving in the paint. He was creating mismatches all night and was bullying his man in the paint, from getting rebounds to backing down and scoring with ease. He was able to do what he wanted and looked good when getting out in transition and finishing on the break. He was able to blow by his defender at times scoring at the rim. He then transition that into knocking down a couple midrange shots. He played well tonight and should be someone to watch going forward.
