Basketball season never stops. A month after crowning state champions, local programs are back at it, getting ready for the 2023-24 season. The Spring Valley Spring League pits several 4A and 5A programs against each other, giving me a way too early look at some potential high school star performers. The league also was the perfect opportunity for me to learn some new names. Let's look at some of the fresh faces from the event.

He did the majority of his rebounding flat footed, but showed decent fluidity, running the floor. The Cheyenne program has a culture of developing players. Kennedy has the size and frame to be the perfect clay to mold.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["1895423"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"First time I've laid eyes on Hulett, and I was impressed, he has a good frame, and motor. The class of 2024 guard used his body well, shielding off defenders on drives, and he wasn't to good to get dirty, getting on the floor for multiple loss balls. Willinging defender, with no AAU afiliation, I'm interested in following his Spring progression.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["1895435"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"The apdtly named Wiley played with good speed, both running the floor and with the ball in his hands. He made a couple coast to coast layups, in the game I watched.
