With countless games condensed into a few days, Spring has truly become the evaluation period. For the class of 2024, this is it, the final opportunity to impress on circuits, camps, and showcases. Let’s take a look at some potential breakout candidates in the class.
Predicting a huge summer for the Faith sniper. Lemke has the magical combination of size and skill, that many schools are looking for. He’s a knock down shooter in catch and shoot situations, and has shown the ability to create shots for himself using one or two bounces.
I’m excited to see Taylor back out on the court. The combo, two way guard was primed for a big season before sitting out after transfering. He has always been a dawg on the defensive side, but has steadily improved his offensive game. He has an opportunity for a huge breakout summer.
The physical forward, brings a ton of intangibles to any program. He also brings tangible skills of rebounding, and passing. The ultimate hard hat glue guy, It will be fun to get a glimpse of Nwuli this Spring.
To make it as a smaller guard, you have to have a ton of skill, and that exactly what Aquiningoc has. He is able to handle, pass and shoot, and has showed the ability to dominate AAU games in the past. I’m just excited to watch him play, as he is one of the most electrfying players in the class.
Highlights
This could be Rodriguez’s time to pop. The skilled wing, has good positional size, and can shoot lights out. His shooting, and length combination is going to draw a share of coaches to his games this summer for sure.
Young could be one of the biggest sleepers in the class. I will be anxiously awaiting watching him play, as his combination of power, speed and size makes him an effective wing scorer. He backed this up by putting up a little over 20 per game during the season.
