The great part about that is, I will get to see this team play at three events this spring/summer! SSA has players from both North Dakota and South Dakota and they are very talented!

Q&A with Chris Buckmiller
PHD: Why you excited about this team/roster?
Coach Buckmiller: “We have a great combination of speed at the guard position and size in the interior.”
PHD: How often will your team practice/work out?
Coach Buckmiller: “Twice a week for four weekends and then sporadically throughout the summer.“
PHD: What will a couple of your strengths be as a team?
Coach Buckmiller: “We will be a team who is able to defend at a high level. Many of our players are one of the better defenders from their high school. Having quickness on the perimeter and length to bother shots will allow us to be tough on the defensive end. Along with high energy on defense, our boys are already bought into playing team basketball on the offensive end. After we play a little more basketball together and learn how to play with one another, we should be a fun team to watch.“
PHD: What style of basketball will you play on the offensive end?
Coach Buckmiller: “Pace and space while using dribble drive concepts.“
PHD: Is there an event/tournament you are most looking forward to?
Coach Buckmiller: “We are looking forward to the Under Armour Rise Tournaments. They are going to be fun and challenging tournaments. It’s an exciting opportunity to represent the Dakotas against teams from all over the country.“
