Quincy Johnson — G — Minnesota Splash
I really liked what I saw from Johnson late in Minnesota Splash’s win on Friday night. First, the guard impressed as a scorer. He did a great job of using his combination of size and burst to get downhill and finish in the paint. Then, once defenders keyed in on Johnson as a scorer, he showed off great passing skills. Using outstanding court vision, Johnson was able to locate open teammates. I think that Johnson has a lot of potential, and I look forward to watching him in the future.
Blaine Roessler Blaine Roessler 6'4" | PF Andover | 2026 State MN — F — Minnesota Splash
Making yourself available to your teammates is perhaps one of the most underrated skills in basketball. This is a skill that Roessler has mastered. In a tight victory on Friday night, Roessler was able to roll to the rim and finish some tough layups. The forward’s late buckets prove that he is made for clutch moments. I really liked what I saw from the MN Splash standout late on Friday.
Luke Loehlein — PG — Minnesota Heat
I really, really like Loehlein’s game. The Minnesota Heat point guard just has an excellent feel for the game. He can score really well in the midrange and is also a great finisher around the rim. Minnesota Heat didn’t earn the victory on Friday night but Loehlein still raised his stock. As he continues to improve his game, I expect college programs to take notice.
Evan Clausen — SF — Minnesota Heat
Versatile two-way prospects have become a hot commodity at the next level. If Clausen continues to improve, I believe that he could develop into a top two-way player. He stands at 6-foot-4 and has a strong frame to match. On Friday night, he showed some scoring flash and defensive ability. While there is certainly room for improvement (as there is with all young players) I do like where Clausen is at right now.
Monteff Dixon — PF — Minnesota Heat
Dixon is full of potential. If he is able to put all of his skills together, he could develop into a truly scary player. The power forward stands at 6-foot-6 and is very strong and athletic. On Friday night, he used these physical attributes to dominate in the paint. Dixon did an awesome job fighting for rebounds in the paint and protecting the rim. Keep an eye out for Dixon in the future.
Bennet Buss — PG — Wisconsin Academy
Buss was no doubt one of my favorite prospects to watch on Friday night. The Wisconsin Academy point guard can do so many positive things on the court. With the ball in his hands, he is capable of scoring or passing with ease. He is quick and shifty as a scorer. As a slasher, Buss is smart and pinpoint accurate.
