Continue ReadingTy Yolder controlled the game for Team Daum against Elevation Flyers, he used his speed to get into the lanes for crafty finishes at the rim, all while being able to keep teammates engaged in the game. His ability to push the pace on offense is really what makes him so dangerous. Once he gets the outlet pass, his head is up looking for the next pass resulting in easy layups before the defense can even get set. As the weekend goes on look for Ty’s name to be mentioned plenty of times if he is able to keep up this level of play.
Alec Roumph Alec Roumph 6’4″ | SG Regis Jesuit | 2025 State CO will be a rising star this summer playing for D1 New Mexico, in his first game of PH Spring Kickoff he led the team to a win with 19 points and 10 rebounds over a tough BDH Elite squad. Roumph did a little bit of everything in that game, he was able to knock down open and contested shots once he got going. His real damage was done at the rim he got whatever he wanted in the paint, whether it was taking his man one on one or boxing out and securing rebounds for easy putbacks.
Owen Hoivs
Owen Hoivs
Owen Hovis is a player I will need to get more familiar with this summer. During his first game of the night he put up 18 points with ease. He is a more than capable combo guard that was able to get to his spots on 2-3 dribbles, something you don’t see every day. Owen also was able to get easy points off of making the right reads within the offense, more often than not he was able to make his defender look silly by backdooring him when he overplayed. Defensively his hands stayed in the passing lanes causing deflections, and leading to the opposing team questioning which passes to make.
I felt bad for the players that were assigned to guard Bradey Friday night. The 7’0 center was a lot to handle around the basket. His mobility came as a big surprise to opposing teams allowing him to get a couple of easy looks early in the game. This got him going offensively. Henige got better as the game progressed as he showcased his skillset. He showed a fluid shot from behind the arc leaving defenders confused on how to guard him. Huge standout on the day and is a player we will hear about nationally.

There isn’t anything more exciting than watching the younger kids play up and get some experience before heading into high school. Christian Williams Christian Williams 6’2″ | PG Chaparral | 2027 State CO was that player for CB Elite Friday night the young wing had himself a day. He dominated the older competition making them believe he was the same age. Williams is a tough cover because of his ability to play inside out. He can dribble the ball up the court and set the offense as well as play with his back to the basket against smaller defenders.
