Check out this list of some of there current players on their 17U who have dominated during the high school season, and are now standing out during the travel circuit.
Cox is a tough, battle tested guard that helped lead his team Milton Academy team to a NESPAC A Championship. He has an array of attributes that any coach would love to see their floor general have. He can can handle the ball well in traffic, while having a high basketball IQ which shows when he facilitates and makes plays to teammates. Cox can also score the ball in a variety of ways, while being able being a tough defender. Cox was full skillset was on full display recently, standing out at the NERR Hoopfest.
Jacob Hogarth
Jacob Hogarth
Hogarth is a versatile big that consistently finishes through contact on the inside. He has great hands and footwork, while also having the ability to put the ball on the floor and drive to the lane. Another aspect of Hogarth’s game that stands out is his high level athleticism. He is fast, which allows him to score often in transition, and has the hops can get up for thunderous dunks.
Menard had a big time year for St. Thomas More, making All NESPAC honorable mention in the mean time. He also recently received an offer from North Carolina A&T and for good reason. Menard is a quick guard that has the ball on a string. He is also a crafty finisher in traffic, and a lethal shooter from outside, both off the catch and off the dribble. Menard also has excellent court vision and the ability to thread the needle on his passes.
Earlier this year, Toews received an offer from Boston University. Toews attacks the basket strong and has the athleticism and skill to finish over taller defenders. He is also shoots a high percentage from outside and elite playmaker. During the high school season, Toews was locked in, including a 24 point, 7 assist performance. He also stood out at the National Prep Showcase.
Highlights
Mela is a hooper with great size and versatility. He moves well without the ball, creating opportunities for him to score. He also has a knack for scoring in transition and can get up for dunks often off one foot and off the vert. Mela also displays a high basketball IQ, to go along with excellent court vision and the ability to keep the ball on a string. He recently put up 15 points in a win over Kansas City RMC at UAA Session 1 and currently holds offers from Boston and UMass.
