Behind Dhimani Tucker and Alvin Jones Jr, the Chill earned a three score lead in the first half as they were the more energetic and active team. Jones, the attacking guard from Osseo, was for much of the game the player that was the toughest to defend. He had stints in both halves off attacking success that had the Chill up 34-25 at the break.
Kyan Bloomquist (Becker) was key to the Rush second half response scoring inside (he had a dozen points in the half two!) and out followed by Landon Riebel Landon Riebel 6'3" | SG STMA | 2024 State MN (STMA) tying the game at 50 scoring inside. And as you can see on Jack Pfeiffer’s video on twitter, the Amory Peterson Amory Peterson 6'3" | SG Champlin Park | 2024 State MN (Champlin Park) assist to Will Brands Will Brands 6'4" | PF Totino-Grace | 2024 State MN is the play the turned the game in favor for the Rush and they never looked back.
Rush won 69-63.
Totino-Grace guard Will Brands Will Brands 6'4" | PF Totino-Grace | 2024 State MN was the game MVP scoring a game high 19 including the shot that turned the game towards the Rush for good. Bloomquist scored 16 points, Peterson had 14 and Riebel finished with nine. Jones had 18 for the Chill.
