March 31st-April 2nd weekend I attended the AZ Warm Ups for the Made Hoops tournament at the Legacy Sports Complex in Mesa and the West Coast Elite tournament at the Phhacility in Phx.

Here were the sophomore standouts/Part-2:

[player_tooltip player_id='1150846' first='Trey' last='Chemin'] Cactus Shadows (UH Elite UA Rise 16) (Pictured)

A wider framed power forward with broad shoulders and long arms. He springs up quickly to rebound and has good hands. He has become very tough in the paint and strong in the last year to control the glass. He is mostly a paint type of scorer and sets strong picks.

[player_tooltip player_id='1469397' first='Kylen' last='Bonner'] San Tan Charter (UH Elite UA Rise 16)

A quicker scoring guard is a deadly three point shooter. Once he sees the first one go in, he can rattle them off one by one. He is clearly the specialist of the group and shows high effort on defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1285934' first='Zaire' last='Richardson'] San Tan Charter (UH Elite UA Rise 16)

A quick undersized guard is a bucket. He is also quick on the ball defensively with fast hands and feet. He can score thru contact, pull-up off the dribble from mid-range and hit the three.

[player_tooltip player_id='1601785' first='Leyton' last='Steenhard'] Queen Creek (Arizona Unity Premier 16)

A true combo guard is comfortable playing on or off the ball. He has some shift in his handle and is a good passer. He has a quick burst to get past his defender and will score in the lane or make a play. He is due for a big year for the Bulldogs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1819714' first='Reid' last='Neuhausen'] Desert Mountain (Arizona Unity Premier 16)

The Wolves had a big year led by the House twins, who rightly got a lot of the attention, but this sophomore guard had a good year too. The lefty has a quick burst to get to his spots. He can shoot the three, drive the lane and makes smart reads with the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='1393223' first='Adam' last='Chaffin'] Trevor Browne (Arizona Unity Premier 16)

A good sized wing forward is another gunslinger. He plays with a big IQ and plays within the flow of the offense. He cuts when he should for layups but he is a very good shooter. He can shoot the three confidently as he squares up quickly.

[player_tooltip player_id='1312612' first='AJ' last='Muandumba'] St. Mary's (Arizona Unity Premier 16)

A powerful built wing forward with an incredible build/frame. He can shoot it a little from the perimeter and has a nice free throw stroke. He is definitely best at getting downhill and running in transition. His best skill is currently his defense. He will defend the best player on every opposing team.

[player_tooltip player_id='1887654' first='Johnny' last='Rogers'] Tolleson (Arizona Unity Premier 16)

A newcomer for me already played on varsity as a freshman. He is an athletic guard who can catch and shoot from the three. He has a very quick first step to get into the paint and he is fast to run out on the break. He is a quick on-ball defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='1297444' first='Kingston' last='Porch'] Skyline Prep (LV Punishers 16)

A long scoring guard was very effective mostly inside the paint in the game I viewed. He can rip thru and score among the post players with his size and athleticism. He has counter moves to score with good post footwork. He can still hit the catch three and will defend from inside and out.

[player_tooltip player_id='1887653' first='Abel' last='Munoz'] Rincon (Tucson Unity 16)

A scoring guard who is a catch and shoot three point shooter with a very quick release. The Rincon standout shows nice body control in the lane scoring the ball in traffic. His three point shot separates him from others and has a consistent approach to his release with every attempt.
