What a weekend of hoops at the Kansas City Clash! It was tough to take in all the great talents in the whirlwind 24-hours of action. But we saw some real noteable performances worthy of 16U All-Star recognition:

PG - Biruk Dietz, 5-foot-6 guard, Heritage Christian Academy, LTD Select:

Dietz was the under-control quarterback that every coach wants at his point guard spot. He's got a great handle, nice play-making skills and a calm presence. He never seems flustered or hurried, yet he can push the ball at top speed, penetrate defenses and create a lot of plays. He's not a big guy, but he doesn't play small. He showed he can finish through contact in the lane. Dietz is high energy but cool under fire.

SG - [player_tooltip player_id='1850450' first='Antonio' last='Fowler'], 6-foot-1 guard, Winnetonka, North South Basketball:

Fowler is a highly-rated 2026 who played up in Kansas City and more than held his own. He's a big guard with length and athleticism. He runs the floor and plays equally well with or without the ball in his hands. He gets to the goal, is a force at the defensive end, and sets screens to free up teammates. He showed maturity in his approach to the game.

SF - [player_tooltip player_id='1625016' first='Jacob' last='Wood'], 6-foot forward, Raytown, KC Kings Elite (pictured):

Wood is listed at just 6-foot but he plays much bigger. He makes a lot of plays around the goal and in the midrange. He's a creative scorer and versatile player who could be considered a guard. He showed off a nice stroke from the perimeter and ability to put the ball on the floor and penetrate. He is a positive leader and a communicator on the floor. His athleticism and ability to rebound are impressive for a guy his size too.

PF - [player_tooltip player_id='2393784' first='Noah' last='Porter'], 6-foot-4 forward, Anderson County, LTD Select:

Porter was a bit of a revelation at the Kansas City Clash. He runs the floor with high energy and is available to receive passes on the run and turn them into buckets. He's not huge, but he locks down the paint, bodying up bigger players and using his athleticism and effort to deny passes and contest shots. He can guard the perimeter equally well. On offense, he works hard to be a target in the post and he can hit jumpers or get to the rim. His best trait is his ability to run either with or without the ball and make plays at high-speed.

C - Ronnie Bush, 6-foot-4 center, Schlagle, KC Kings Elite:

Bush was one of the most impressive bigs in terms of athleticism and explosion among the 16Us at Kansas City. He is a quick and effortless leaper who can block shots or haul in rebounds in a big quantity. Though he's long and wiry, he has the power to body up bigs. Once he has the ball in his hands, Bush can hit jumpers from all over the midrange, or make a power move to get to the bucket.

Second Team:

PG - Jordan Dean, 5-foot-10 guard, Lee's Summit West, KC Kings Elite

SG - Brody Featherston, 5-foot-11 guard, Shawnee Mission South, KC Spurs

SF – Drey Steinbacher, 6-foot-2 forward, Olathe South, KC Spurs

PF - Kai Reed, 6-foot-2 forward, Piper, Marcus Denmon Elite

C - Braden Mann, 6-foot-5 center, Gardner-Edgerton, LTD Select
