Keimani Paul
Keimani Paul
Paul is a long and athletic post player with an exceptional defensive awareness. When I watched him play for the first time, he immediately stood out as he had two blocks in two possessions. He plays with his head up and his hands and feet are always active. He’s the defensive anchor for his squad and loves to help teammates with sound rotations. On the other end of the court, Paul finishes well around the rim and is an active rebounder.
Christain Childress
Christain Childress
In a somewhat lop-sided affair, Childress gave his team a much needed spark to keep competing as he knocked down three 3-pointers in the second half. He is a smart shooter who takes good shots and is always in the right place at the right time. He’s also got solid playmaking skills. Defensively, he gets a handful of steals as he’s constantly looking to poke the ball loose from opposing ball-handlers. Childress can heat up in a hurry and is one shooter you can’t leave open from anywhere.
Alijah Bussey
Alijah Bussey
With his energy level high throughout the whole game, Bussey’s impact is diverse. He does a bit of everything. He can score in a variety of ways from a number of different spots, is relentless on the rebounding efforts, sees the floor well, and plays with intensity and physicality on defense. He’s very comfortable at the helm of an offense and Bussey is confident in his abilities which makes him tough to stop when he gets going.
Jashawn Bonds
Jashawn Bonds
Bonds is a lightning quick point guard and thrives when attacking downhill. He can light a fire under his team by offering unmatched energy and leadership on both ends of the court. He gets a lot of steals and almost always converts those into fastbreak scores for himself or a teammate. Bonds is a really good passer and he since its virtually impossible for defenders to stay in front of him, he sets his teammates up with ease.
Rakee Shelton
Rakee Shelton
With an extended range and a strong will to finish around the bucket, Shelton is a versatile scorer. He carries a lot of weight for his team as a primary ball-handler. Standing just above six feet tall, he’s able to see the floor and make smart passes over the top of the defense. Shelton is good with both hands and he’s a vocal leader too. His on-ball defense is solid. Shelton is crafty in the paint and is efficient scorer.
Garrett Essner
Garrett Essner
With great strength and smart positioning, Essner impacts the game as a rebounder and defensive presence. Though, his game expands beyond those traits; he sets great screens, has wonderful touch inside the key, plays well with his back-to-the-basket, and blocks shots. Essner is a player who seems to be always moving and working for better positioning. Because of this, he’s constantly in the right place at the right time, making things easier for himself and his team.
