Quartaro was one of the top scoring options for his team and was able to make a living in the paint on the offensive end for his team. He was difficult to guard inside and was active while in the post, moving getting in the right position for rebounds and then going back up quickly. He was able to finish inside over defenders and looked smooth with his post moves. He is a player that is able to create shots for himself. Will be someone to watch on day 2 to see how he is able to control the paint.
Highlights
Duda was a player that was bringing energy on both ends of the court. On the defensive end he was a pest. His team was in a press and he was actively moving his feet and getting in the right position to play the passing lanes. He was turning those opportunities into easy buckets in transition. He was scoring from all three levels and was able to create some easy openings for his teammates. He is a high energy guard and will be someone to watch on day 2.
Mendez was a player that hustled all night and benefited from his team running the press as he was able to get things going for himself on the offensive end of the court. He showed good feet with staying in front of ball handlers or rotating quickly to trap. He was able to turn this into easy transition buckets finishing at the rim. He was on the boards at both ends and was able to kick it back out to reset the offense. Will be a player to watch and see if he is able to keep that same energy on day 2.
Austin Curry
Austin Curry
Curry was a player that was active in the paint and was pulling down the boards whenever he was in the game. He is able to limit the second chance points by altering shots or pulling down the board and kicking it out quickly to start the break. He made it difficult on the inside and made the opponent work for every point in the paint. Will be someone to watch and see if he is able to bring that intensity on day 2 at both ends of the court and get going early.
Dior Harper
Dior Harper
Harper was a high energy guard that benefited from his team being able to press and make it difficult on the opposing team from the start. He was hustling on defense and being a pest, making the ball handler pick up their dribble and turn it over. Was showing good on ball defense and was able to get out in transition which helped him get some easy scoring opportunities. Will be a player to watch on day 2 to see if he is able to create more scoring opportunities in the half court for his team.
