The final Class of 2023 rankings have been released and a number of guys made a final push to move up on the list. Here's a look at the top stock risers in this last update.

[player_tooltip player_id='1382415' first='Evan' last='Otten'], Redmond - +15 (from #39 to #24)

Otten took care of his college recruitment in the fall by signing with OIT, then put together a senior season putting to rest any doubts that might have been about his early decision. While injury took away part of the second half of the season, he still played enough games to easily lead 5A in rebounding at 13.1 boards a night while averaging 15.5 points and 2.5 blocked shots on just under 64 percent shooting. He earned a spot on Team Oregon in WAVOR the Game his best basketball will be ahead of him at the college level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1085793' first='Jaylin' last='Ormond'], Mountainside - +11 (from #69 to #58)

Ormond had a big senior season at Mountainside as his role increased from bench banger to a legitimate offensive force in the post. He was extremely efficient for the Mavs, shooting 68.6 percent from the field, and nearly averaged a double-double at 12.9 points and 8.6 rebounds. Ormond was special in that despite being relatively undersized at 6-foot-5, knew what he was good at and didn't look to do things beyond his capabilities like shoot threes or create off the dribble. He was a stalwart defensively and is now looking at going to the JC level for college.

[player_tooltip player_id='1738601' first='Liam' last='Spencer'], Sprague - +8 (from #50 to #42)

One of the guys that emerged the most as a senior throughout the entire state was Spencer, who ranked among 6A's scoring leaders at 19.1 points and he also led the state in threes made per game at 3.6. An outstanding catch-and-shoot performer, the senior guard could also create off the dribble and finish around the basket over smaller players. He's been getting college recruiting looks from the D-III and JC levels.

[player_tooltip player_id='1256645' first='Josiah' last='Lake'], Tualatin - +6 (from #8 to #2)

Making a huge jump within the Top Ten is Lake, who consistently moved up the rankings from the end of his junior year to the end of his senior season. It was impossible to deny his ascension considering he was, short of [player_tooltip player_id='861091' first='Jackson' last='Shelstad'], arguably the most dominant player in the state and when all the dust settled, he was a repeat 6A state champ as well. Lake is playing with Select Basketball out of Idaho this spring in an attempt to garner some final college offers to choose from.

[player_tooltip player_id='1232164' first='Jonah' last='Jones'], Westside Christian - +4 (from #31 to #27)

Jones made the transfer to 3A Westside Christian from 6A Wells and as expected, was a force. His ability to play above the rim was even more dominant at the lower classification but he not only rebounded and blocked shots - which he did at Wells - but also became more of a big scoring threat. Jones helped lead Westside Christian back to the state title game and earned First Team All-Tournament and All-State honors. He remains unsigned.

[player_tooltip player_id='861084' first='Breyan' last='Kelly'], Sherwood - +4 (from 70 to #66)

With the graduation of several players, it gave some returning bench guys the chance to step up and Kelly did so in a big way - especially at the start of the year when star wing [player_tooltip player_id='1232163' first='Jared' last='Sucher'] was out due to injury. Kelly used his sharp shooting from the outside to open up defenses and when Sucher came back, he settled more into a facilitator kind of role. He's settled on his college basketball having committed to Linfield.

Jahbari Martino, Barlow - +3 (from #55 to #52)

Another guy who accepted a bigger role as a senior was Martino, who went from sparkplug off the bench to starting guard who showed the ability to carry a team at times. Defensively, he was a terror in the passing lanes for steals and offensively, his combination of athleticism, speed, and wiry strength made him a very tough guy to keep up with. Unsigned, Martino is playing some club basketball this spring in an attempt to garner more interest.
