Roster & Player comments w/ Moormann
Dominic Fairbanks Dominic Fairbanks 5'10" | PG Cass Lake-Bena | 2024 State MN (2023) |5’11 G| Cass Lake
“Dominic is a high-percentage shooter with great court vision. He is a tough-nosed player that really understands the game. Dominic is really good in ball screen action, making him really hard to guard. We are really excited to have him in the program this year.“
Damon Glasser Damon Glasser 6'4" | SG Dickinson | 2024 State ND |6’4 SG| Dickinson
“Damon will also be a nice addition to the program this year. Being the son of a coach, he really understands the game and plays really hard. He will be that role guy for us who is willing to do the little things!“
Isiah St. Romain

|6’2 G| Williston
“Isiah has the personality that every coach wants in a player. He brings energy on and off the floor and is always trying to get his team going. Isiah can score in bunches and is almost un-guardable in transition. Isiah had some huge games in high school this year and we will be expecting the same of him this year. Isiah is super athletic, allowing him to finish at the rim and also defend well on the other end of the floor.“

“Lewis has been in the program for a few years and is one of our tougher guards. He is always under control and just doesn’t make a lot of mistakes. He is a true floor general that is very coachable and willing to do the little things. Lewis can score at all three levels and is also good at getting his teammates easy buckets.“
Dylan Zimmerman Dylan Zimmerman 6'5" | SF Moorhead | 2024 State MN |6’5 G| Moorhead
“Dylan is a long athletic wing with a great 3-point shot. If he gets an open look, it’s going down. He is also really athletic making him a force around the rim and also when guarding other players. Dylan was injured for part of last year so we are really excited to have him back at full strength.“
Logan Conklin

Minot | 2024

“You don’t find many kids who make a huge impact on the floor like Logan. Conklin is an excellent rebounder on both ends of the floor and his toughness is bar none. He is willing to take charges and dive on the floor without any hesitation. He finishes well around the rim and is sneaky athletic too!“
Jacob Brandt Jacob Brandt 6'10" | PF Hillsboro/Central Valley | 2024 State ND |6’9 F| Hillsboro/Central Valley
“Jacob looked like a whole different player at tryouts. His aggressiveness and confidence have come a long way! With being able to stretch the floor to 3 and finish down low he will be a force to be reckoned with. I’m really looking forward to coaching a big with Jacob’s talent.“
Lucas Kupfer Lucas Kupfer 6'5" | SF Bismarck Legacy | 2024 State ND |6’5 F| Bismarck Legacy
“Lucas brings a different dynamic to this team. With his length and craftiness at getting to the rim, he makes for a really tough matchup. He uses his body really well to finish around the rim and has a quick first step when attacking. Lucas is a very coachable kid who is willing to do whatever to help his team win.“
Carter Zeller Carter Zeller 6'6" | PF Fargo North | 2024 State ND |6’6 PF| Fargo North
“Carter is the definition of hard work, fundamentals, and toughness. For an undersized big he is very good at finishing around the rim with his footwork and shot fakes. Carter doesn’t back down from any situation or player as he just plays! He also has proven he can stretch it to 3. I’m also looking forward to coaching a big with this mentality!“

Q&A with Lucas Moormann
PHD: Why are you excited about this team/roster?
Coach Moormann: “I’m really excited to get to work with such a fun and competitive group of kids. They gel well together as they’ve played together for a few years now. They really enjoy having fun while they play and are just a very coachable group! With a ton of length and athleticism, this group should be able to do some big things this year!“
PHD: How often will your team practice/work out?
Coach Moormann: “With kids being from all over the ND/MN region, it is very hard to practice. However, we put an emphasis on weekly skill/fundamental sessions that take place in Minot, Bismarck, Fargo, and Grand Forks.“
PHD: What will be a couple of your strengths as a team?
Coach Moormann: “One of our biggest strengths I feel this year will be our defense. I think with our quickness, toughness, and length we should be really hard to score on. I also think we have some really good guards who can shoot the ball well and create for others.“
PHD: What style of basketball will you play on the offensive end?
Coach Moormann: “We will try to push the ball in transition to get quick and easy buckets and in the half-court offense we will play a simple motion where we try to get the ball inside out. We will also be putting our guards in ball screen action quite a bit.“
PHD: What brand of defense do you foresee your team playing?
Coach Moormann: “We will play all man-to-man defense with consistent ball pressure with help side principals.“
PHD: Is there an event/tournament you are most looking forward to?
Coach Moormann: “Honestly, I look forward to all tournaments because of the opportunity to coach this group and get better as a team and as individuals. The live periods though are a lot of fun and our guys will have many opportunities for coaches to see them.“
