The event showcased a number of the top AAU programs including Compton Magic, Las Vegas Punishers, DreamVision, Team Inland, Strive for Greatness, Cali Stars, I-Can All Stars, and Pacific Hoops.
Jermaine Washington had an impressive game against the Las Vegas Punishers 17U team, showcasing his lightning-quick speed and strength with the ball. Washington Jr. was a force on both ends of the floor, actively disrupting the offense by playing good on-ball and team defense. Jermaine is also an adept scorer, capable of creating his own shot and knocking down the three off the dribble with efficiency. His versatility on offense and defense make him a valuable asset on any team.
Eric Freeny Eric Freeny 6’5″ | SG Corona Centennial | 2024 State #73 Nation is a versatile player who brings a lot to the table. Freeny moves well off the ball and is always looking for open space to get his shot off. Eric is also active on the glass at both ends of the court, often grabbing key rebounds to help his team. Defensively, he is able to switch and guard multiple positions, making him a valuable asset on that end of the floor. Freeny is a great catch and shoot option as well, knocking down shots with ease when given the opportunity. Eric is an uber reliable player who can contribute in a variety of ways.
Jai Anthoni Bearden Jai Anthoni Bearden 6’6″ | SF Sunnyslope | 2024 State AZ ‘s impact on the game extends beyond the box score. Bearden’s ability to cut without the ball and finish at the rim is impressive. Jai’s long arms and quickness also make him an excellent on-ball defender capable of guarding multiple positions. Additionally, he shows great instincts on the defensive end, playing passing lanes and disrupting opposing offenses.
Deshawn Gory Deshawn Gory 6’8″ | SF Red Rock Academy | 2024 NV has excellent athleticism and is a confident scorer at all three levels of the court. Gory has a good handle and sees the court well which allows him to create his own shot and set up his teammates. Deshawn’s quickness and agility are key assets, making him a tough cover for defenders. Additionally, he is a strong defender both on-ball and off, thanks to his long arms and quickness.
Jaqari Miles Jaqari Miles 6’2″ | CG West Ranch | 2023 State is a force on the court, showcasing a strong build for a point guard that allows him to finish through contact at the rim. Miles is also a threat from beyond the arc, making him a versatile scorer. Jaqari possesses a great competitive edge and is a solid team defender, using his quickness and anticipation to disrupt opposing offenses.
