We take a look at some players in the rankings that are notable players that have some next level talent at different levels. This class might have the most D1 players from Top to bottom than Utah has seen in a long time.
Jaxon has a lot of upside with his size and style of play. Kind of reminds us of Alex Karaban at UCCON who can absolutely stretch the floor and a big time wing filling shooter that can hurt you when teams help on guards or other bigs. He can catch and shoot and he can walk into three’s. If you do not account for him on a trail he will light it up as well. Jaxon has the size and shooting ability to make a transition at the next level. He does have the work ethic in the classroom as high level institutions like Stanford are recruiting him and he has been putting in work on the court as well. He will be an impact addition to a program as a shooter with size.
Dutch is one of the best shooters in the state and he has recently been listed by his club team which is in the NBA Academy Africa at 6’6. With that size and scoring ability he should be on a lot of coaches radars. This Spring and Summer he should be able to attract suitors looking for a scoring punch and a player that has major range. Dutch had a great year at Olympus and he was one of the top scorers in the state this past year and next season look for him to be one of the front runners to lead the state in scoring, especially between the 5A and 6A schools. Dutch proves how deep the talent is in the Class of 2024 as a D1 prospect Dutch has the skills to land at a quality D1 school.
Highlights
Blake is a high motor athlete that rebounds like crazy. He can finish through contact down low and he is one of those players that is just a spark plug that okays with a lot of energy. One aspect of his game that is very noticeable is that he passes the ball very well. He evaluates the situation and watches cutters from all over and finds open players. He is good with that with his back to the basket.
Highlights
There are a lot of really good PG’s in this class. Some have offers that are good and some do not and they are still good. Jordan has garnered some next level interest and has picked up an offer from Westminster College here in Utah. With his ability to run the floor and get the ball out of his hands quickly to players that are open he is a next level talent. The kid has some wiggle and he can make some great pocket passes and pass players open. He should be a big time problem running the show again for Dixie in the revamped 4A Classification.
