Dylan Chung Dylan Chung IL — PG — PAC Elite Basketball
In a close win on Saturday morning, Chung really impressed spectators. The point guard caught my eye when he made a hesitation/crossover move that flowed perfectly into a smooth three-point jumper. Even though he could be considered undersized for a lead guard, Chung makes up for his lack of size with IQ. He has a good understanding of the game and always seems to make the right basketball play.
Ceasar Ortiz — SG — PAC Elite Basketball
I really like Ortiz’s game. The PAC Elite Basketball shooting guard had a very productive game on Saturday morning. Helping lead his squad to a win, Ortiz did a little bit of everything. I like how versatile Ortiz is, specifically on the offensive end of the court. He passes well and can score at a high level in many different ways. Coming off an excellent high school season, look for Ortiz to boost his stock in this AAU season.
Anton Kindle — SF — Wisconsin Truth
Kindle was the biggest stock riser of the day in my book. The 6-foot-3 small forward out of Portage made a significant positive impact on both ends of the floor for Wisconsin Truth. On defense, Kindle uses his strength and athletic ability to block shots and stay in front of his man. He also has a very strong build, making him difficult to score on in the post. On the offensive end, Kindle is all finesse. He uses great footwork and fancy finishing maneuvers to score around the rim. Kindle was outstanding on Saturday morning.
Ayden Drew Ayden Drew 6'4" | SF Montello Jr./Sr. | 2025 WI — SF — Wisconsin Truth
I have now seen Drew play at two Prep Hoops Circuit tournaments this spring. Each time the Wisconsin Truth small forward played very well. I really like how versatile Drew is on offense. He can use his 6-foot-5 frame to score down low. Or he is fully capable of stepping outside and making long-range shots. In an impressive win for Wisconsin Truth, Drew had a complete performance.
Matthew Saunders — SG — Illinois Elite
I thought that Saunders played a really good game on Saturday. In the first half, the shooting guard was only able to tally five points. But he got going in the second period. He made three long-range shots, scoring 13 total points in the second stanza. Whenever his team needed a bucket, Saunders was able to step up a knock down a big-time shot.
Johntarion Mcfadden — G — Illinois Elite
From the opening tip, Mcfadden was ready to go. He started the game off very aggressively, as he hit a three and converted on a couple of layups. I love how Mcfadden is able to create scoring opportunities for himself. It doesn’t matter how slow things are getting in the half-court, the Illinois Elite guard is just one quick move away from scoring. Because of his ability to score in bunches, Mcfadden is very tough for defenders to slow down. He scored 16 points in his team’s victory.
Aiden Wilson — G — Real Phenom
For most of Real Phenom’s game against Illinois Elite, it wasn’t very close. Illinois Elite held a significant lead for much of the first and second half. But as time ticked down, Real Phenom made a comeback push. This comeback was led by Wilson. After being held scoreless in the first period, the guard put up 11 second-half points. And even though his team couldn’t complete the comeback, Wilson still proved himself as a top-tier player. He steps up when his team needs it most.
