Roster
Smooth point guard with a solid scoring ability from all three levels on the floor. Efficient player who can be an irritant on defense while giving his team consistent offensive production wether it be scoring the ball or creating for others. He has a high basketball IQ for his position with a lot of promise looking forward the future. The strength he possesses for his size will be a big “pro” for him in the recruiting process this spring/summer.
Highlights
A quick and shifty guard who knows where he wants to go on offense. Moves well off of the ball but is a fantastic play-maker with the ball in his hands. Well rounded in most facets of the game when it comes to making accurate passes, scoring through contact, and rebounding at a high rate from the guard position. A prospect who will catch a lot of eyes this Spring/Summer on the EYCL circuit for his overall playmaking ability. He somewhat possesses that “It” factor and I’m sure it will be on full display each game this season.
Crafty lefty who has a nice “bag” of skill moves that he likes to put on display on a consistent basis. Excellent driver when taking his defender off of the dribble with the ability to finish over bigger player who may come over to help at the rim. Nice mid-range pull up off of one dribble on the catch. Shifty movement from side-to-side once he gets down hill in transition. One of the better on ball defenders this group has. Quick recovery speed if he gets beat but is usually pretty good staying glued to his man.
Lengthy small forward with consistent balance. Three level scorer who can guard the 1-4 position in most situations, depending on the matchup. Can spread the floor with his shooting ability or take it from the perimeter. Possesses a solid catch and shoot game with nice footwork. Plays with hustle and determination. Skillful overall prospect. Communicates well with others when mis-haps occur between him and his teammates.
Highlights
One of the best forward out of the state of Iowa for his 2023 class. Works extremely hard on both ends of the floor. Efficient and effective near the hoop with a lot of athleticism to go along with it. Excellent finisher at the hoop with either hand. Physical player who welcomes contact on a majority of his offensive attempts. Lock down defender with the ability to switch onto a guard in pick and roll situations. High-end prospect with a fairly high ceiling to go along with it.
Small forward who can put the ball on the floor or let it fly from three at a consistent rate. Really nice handle for his size. Displays nice counter moves when a defender cuts him off with the ability to change pace and direction rather quickly. Keeps it simple and doesn’t force anything. Takes what the defense gives him. Will be a nice role player for this team who can impact a game in several different ways depending what is asked of him.
Highlights
Crafty player with a lot of finesse to go along with all of his skill. Sneaky athletic and lengthy once he gets into the lane while going toward the basket. Active hands on both sides of the floor. He tends to get a lot of tips/deflection because of those active hands. Very good with pace and tempo while attacking his opponent. Sees the floor well while alway keeping his head up. Communicates well through screens and other defensive situations for the most part.
Highlights
A real coach on the court. Fundament and consistent player who is incredible at playing off of two feet. Finishes through contact well. Excellent vision and facilitator of the basketball once he beats his initial defender. Very calm and controlled under pressure. Never gets sped up and seems to always be in control of situations occurring on the floor. Player you want on your team with the ball in his hands when you have the game on the line.
Highlights
Fundamental player with a strategic shooting stroke. Possesses great footwork in catch and shoot situations. Runs off of screens with the intention to shoot each time. Has a high release off of his jumper making it even hard to block for his opponents. Works really hard on defense. Listens well to the coach and understands what the team needs from him. One of the first players to get on the floor or sprint to help a teammate up.
Lengthy wing who can fill it up from deep in a hurry. Quick release type shooter. Moves off the ball well while not needing a whole lot of dribbles to get past his defender. High IQ with a good head on his shoulders. A top perimeter defender for this team that is going to be able to stay on a smaller guard in big-time situations with the game on the line.
