Continue ReadingHuff gets overshadowed at Harlan County but he had a good Sophomore season and is off to a hot start in AAU. A really good shooter who can also excel in the pick and roll, Maddox will need to show college coaches that he can defend his position but if he proves that, he could see D1 offers coming his way this summer.
Highlights
One of the best scoring point guards in the state, regardless of class, Eli is an underrated athlete and has shown he can knock down jumpers both in the catch and shoot as well as off the dribble. Like Huff, Finley will have to show the capacity to guard athletic point guards to boost his college stock but he has the tools to be a D1 player.
Cayden is one of the best “floor general” type of point guards in the state, regardless of class. The younger of the famous Reed brothers, Cayden is a tough guard who can score the ball well but is just as comfortable facilitating for others and creating open shots.
Coming off a Sophomore season where he was one of the scoring leaders for the entire state, Ty has shown he is an elite shooter in the sense that he can make shots at a high level but also has “in the gym” range on his jump shot. Price lacks ideal positional size but has a strong frame. If he shows he can facilitate as well as he shoots, colleges will be lining up.
Chandler is still waiting for his turn at a bigger role for Trinity but he has to be one of the quickest point guards in Louisville. A natural facilitator, Lance is adept at getting into the paint and making good decisions with the ball. He’s undersized but has shown the ability to finish against bigger players. If he can become a knockdown shooter, his potential becomes even higher.
