The Top Five

[player_tooltip player_id='1630620' first='Elzie' last='Harrington'], St. John Bosco, No. 1 PG, No. 4 overall

Harrington earned the top overall spot among the PG's because he's one of the best in the state - regardless of class - at running a team. The 6-foot-5 sophomore has elite vision and plays with a pace that allows the game to slow down for him and his teammates while keeping the opponent off-balance and guessing what his next move will be. Harrington is an elite playmaker and table-setter for teammates who also improved his personal transition and half-court offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630623' first='Gavin' last='Hightower'], Windward, No. 2 PG, No. 5 overall

Hightower is an elite scoring guard who showed this season that he can not only lead a team in points in the scorebook but also in assists, rebounds, steals, decision-making and anything else you look for in a primary ball-handler and team leader. The 6-foot-1 sophomore is one the most aggressive and confident players in the class and those traits rubbed off on his teammates last season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630635' first='Mazi' last='Mosely'], St. Francis, No. 3 PG, No. 8 overall

Mosely always had the talent, size and athletic ability to be one of the top prospects in the 2025 class and he transferred to a school that allowed him to further hone his skill-set but also his basketball IQ. The wiry 6-foot-4 playmaker has an impressive toolbox off the bounce where he can shift his way past defenders for paint touches or knock down a pull-up jump shot. One of the more impressive improvements Mosely made to his game was his decision-making out of those paint touches. Instead of forcing bad shots, he was looking for the next pass to an open teammate.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630621' first='Hudson' last='Mayes'], Redondo Union, No. 4 PG, No. 9 overall

Mayes' sophomore season was cut short due to injury but the 6-foot-2 prospect showed that he continued to mold his game from scoring guard to point guard. Mayes has a great understanding of how to get to his spots off the dribble and can knock down a variety of shots from those areas from pull-up jumpers to floaters to strong finishes around the rim. Where Mayes advanced the most was with his ball-handling and decision-making in transition and half-court settings.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630643' first='Angelino' last='Mark'], Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, No. 5 PG, No. 28 overall

Mark quietly put together a strong season for the Knights while playing fourth-fiddle to three future Division 1 players in [player_tooltip player_id='992483' first='Dusty' last='Stromer'], [player_tooltip player_id='1115502' first='Caleb' last='Foster'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1502768' first='Mercy' last='Miller']. With Stromer and Foster headed to their collegiate destinations, Mark has a chance to take a much bigger role next season and has the talent to show why he's considered a top 5 PG in the class and boost his overall stock. In his limited touches last season, Mark flashed deep shooting range and quick twitch athleticism, burst and finishing ability around the basket.

Next In Line

[player_tooltip player_id='1630642' first='Coco' last='Britt'], Crossroads, No. 6 PG, No. 34 overall

Britt is the definition of a game-managing point guard who takes care of the ball, limits turnovers and looks to put his guys in position to be successful.

[player_tooltip player_id='1896211' first='Zion' last='Paleo'], Orange Lutheran, No. 7 PG, No. 46 overall

Paleo emerged as a more under-the-radar type of guy this season but was a crucial piece to Orange Lutheran's success in 2022-23. The sophomore plays with great pace, can change speeds and direction to get into the lane and has a variety of scoring options he can go to.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630660' first='Myles' last='Walker'], No. 8 PG, No. 48 overall

Walker is a dynamic playmaker in the open court - whether it is for himself or for his teammates. The 5-foot-9 sophomore is one of those players with elite speed who also manages to stay under control with his eyes up the floor looking to take advantage of what the defense gives him.
