Brody was in his bag yesterday as he controlled the glass and he showed that he is a talented rebounder often tipping the ball to himself. With one of his teammates that is usually the scorer in foul trouble Brody was a little more aggressive looking for his shot and getting that ball up the floor like he usually does. Brody hit some key three pointers as this game got out of hand quick. Defensively he was flying all over the place and he had a few blocks to go along with a solid all-around performance. The pace that he plays at is really impressive because he dictates the speed he will play and not what the defenders or defense in general are trying to do to him. Brody is always living up to that 4-star ranking he has racked up.
Luke has been one of those ultimate Glue Guys that just does what he needs to to help his team win. Yesterday it was his turn to turn things up in the scoring column. Lone peak needed every point to hold off a surging team. Luke played a complete game as he was all over the floor doing what he does but he also hit a clutch three-pointer. Not only was he leading the team in scoring but he also lead the team in assist as well.
Quentin was taking his time as he was not pressing while he wasn’t scoring early. He let the game come to him and at times he was asking for the ball as he should and he was making things happen for his teammates. He had a few amazing kick-outs that didn’t fall. He kept the course and he scored himself into the Top 4 All-Time scoring list. He tallied more than 30 points in a big win. He did it all. He got to his mid-range sweat spots. He hit a few big three’s as he stopped on a dime to pop them from deep. He hit a few open ones as plays broke down and his defender lost him. His take over ability in the 4th was basically Q-Time. The other team was trying to keep the ball away from him and his better offense was what mattered at the end.
The Tiger King came through yesterday. He was just playing basketball at a different speed than everyone else. He had timely drives to the rim. he had timely buckets from deep and he was in full control. It is easy to see he is a coaches son. One of the more incredible stats was him hauling down 9 rebounds. When you have a player that can control the game and clean up boards you have a PG that is willing to do what it takes to win.
