Welcome to Grassroots Basketball Utah Gold as we start with their youngsters in the 15U Division. Every single one of their players comes from a school that is not easy to play at the varsity level right away as most of these players will have to wait their turn but they do have talent. Every single one of these kids could possibly get minutes at a lower level school but they are getting better by playing against top notch competition at their respective schools and they will get better playing with Utah Gold as this club will be playing in the Adidas Gold Circuit and traveling across the country to play against other talented programs everywhere.

Top Players to Watch

The first name that is intriguing is [player_tooltip player_id='1278438' first='Dash' last='Reiser'] a player that was instrumental in helping Alta in the playoffs this past year and earning a State Championship. Dash is an exciting player that can score. He might have to switch things up and get other involved at the PG position but he will be a quick learner. He is going to be a great player to watch. Then you have a kid like [player_tooltip player_id='1278437' first='Tyler' last='Mortensen'] who has a very athletic background and he continues to grow in stature and his skill level continues to increase. Tyler could possibly play at a lot of school but he plays at Corner Canyon where you sometimes have to wait your turn because the talent level is high. He is going to be a solid two way playing wing. [player_tooltip player_id='1598255' first='William' last='Openshaw'] at Timpview will likely see the floor a lot at Timpview next year and this is a great opportunity for him to get more time on the floor against quality talent. Keep an eye on him as he is now 6'7.

Overview

This team has players that will commit to both sides of the ball and in time they should mesh nicely. They will have to rely on outside shooting and sharing the ball but we are excited to track this young squad through the Grassroots Season. Their bright yellow mixed with black and white will make them hard to miss, but their game across the board will make them hard to miss as well.
