We will start with our point guards in this year’s junior class. If you have a player who deserves to be recognized, please send @RossVDG14 a direct message on Twitter.
The 6-6 small forward looks more like a guard than a wing considering his ball-handling skills and his ability to shoot from beyond the arc. He brings size, strength, length and athleticism to the floor every single night. Wright holds offers from Dayton, Hofstra, Florida A&M, Jacksonville University and several others.
The 6-6 small forward is a productive paint presence who can finish well around the rim. This season for Pembroke Pines Charter, Elyzee averaged 14.4 points per game and is a rebounding machine. Elyzee will need to work on building more of a consistent jump shot to take the next step as far as his recruitment process goes.
The 6-5 small forward is an intriguing prospect as he has a combined skillset of size and length. Buchanan can also shoot it from the perimeter if he is having the confidence on that particular night. Buchanan averaged 16.3 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game this past season for Booker T. Washington. He has spurts where he will finish around the rim against smaller defenders or if he will force a tough shot against bigger defenders. Interested to see how his spring and summer seasons play out, as Buchanan will be playing with Judah Nation.
The 6-7 small forward can hurt you in a lot of ways whether it’s his shooting from the perimeter or inside the paint. Harris has the tools to be a three-level scorer and can go off for 20+ points on any given night. He doesn’t force tough shots and has a high basketball IQ. He brings size, length and can run the floor like a guard.
Highlights
The 6-5 small forward is strong and can finish efficiently around the rim. This past season for Charlotte High School, Cornish averaged 15.3 points and 10.2 rebounds per game. He can also turn defense into offense really quickly with his length and speed. He will attract college coaches’ radar as we gear into the Live Period next month.
