ND and SD Gatorade Players of the Year

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Can you believe that the high school season in North Dakota and South Dakota is over? It seems like it was just October and we could not wait for the season to begin. It has been a long and challenging winter, thanks to Mother Nature. The one thing that always gets me through our gross winter weather is high school basketball! Now that the prep season is complete, it is time to move into Awards Season before AAU ball gets rolling. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Last week, Gatorade made a big announcement! [player_tooltip player_id='1050246' first='Darik' last='Dissette'] (Minot) has been named <strong>2022-23 Gatorade North Dakota Player of the Year</strong>! [player_tooltip player_id='963742' first='Isaac' last='Bruns'] (Dakota Valley) has been named <strong>2022-23 Gatorade South Dakota Player of the Year</strong>! These two both had fantastic high school careers and rockstar seniors seasons. They both went to State this year, have set scoring records, racked up wins, and many other impressive accolades/milestones. The All-State teams have not been announced yet in ND or SD but Dissette and Bruns are complete locks for All-State. Dissette just won Mr. Basketball and Bruns is the heavy favorite to win Class A Player of the Year in SD (again). </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>These two STARS will soon be competing against each other in the Summit League. [player_tooltip player_id='1050246' first='Darik' last='Dissette'] is heading to NDSU and [player_tooltip player_id='963742' first='Isaac' last='Bruns'] is going to USD. How fun will it be to see a Dissette vs. Bruns matchup next winter? </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Darik and Isaac are not just elite basketball players, they are scholars as well. Dissete and Bruns do good work in the classroom.
