Who were the young players making some varsity impacts in March Madness? We give you the list highlighted by some young Caledonia stars.

[player_tooltip player_id='1575329' first='Reid' last='Klug'] of Caledonia (soph). One of the surprises of the day was the play of [player_tooltip player_id='1575329' first='Reid' last='Klug']. I feel like Reid has grown about three inches this year and he used all of that size to touch in scores over PEM. He had a ten point game and I really liked the way he used his body after the first move to get to his touch to complete on the second move. Klug still looks like a young deer but you can see his game starting to mature. Good touch and a good usage of that touch after separation. When he fills out as an upperclassmen he has a chance to be even more dangerous. And become a really nice prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='2103343' first='Garrett' last='Konz'] of Caledonia (soph). The Warrior go to guy for the evening was [player_tooltip player_id='2103343' first='Garrett' last='Konz']. He's a 6'5 forward with face-up ability that scored on veteran PEM players for 15 points on 6 of 13 shooting. I love the handle and face-up game of Konz who has a nice dribble separation crossover attack move and he does a great job using his body to separate. We saw the fade away, the spin move, and the ball fake into a make. As he continues to fill out and may get a bit taller we are talking about a player who could be a scholarship prospect in the 2025 class.

Landon Meyer of Lyle/Austin Pacelli (soph). Came off the bench and hit a three for his team in limited minutes. Good looking shooting stroke and the next player we have eyes on to have great upperclassmen years at Lyle Pacelli.

[player_tooltip player_id='1584902' first='Jack' last='Meincke'] of Lake City (soph). Cracking this Lake City rotation is tough and there are Tiger seniors that have trouble getting even some reserve time. Jack is a steady guard off the bench the team trusts to make the right read, get to the right spot on defense, and simply be dependable when starters need a rest. He had a couple assists and a couple boards in the Tiger win.

Luke Roschen of Goodhue (fr). The six foot freshman is on the floor to hit threes when that Goodhue ball movement finds him. On Saturday Luke's pair of threes in an 11-0 run were a couple of the biggest shots of the helping turn a Lyle Pacelli lead into a Goodhue win. He's a shooter teams will have to find for the rest of this year and then three more years to come. Scored 11 points with five boards.
