College Commitment - Breyan Kelly (2023 Sherwood)

Linfield has struck again on the recruiting trail. Just recently the Wildcats program nabbed a scoring wing in Tigard's Sawyer Wolf Sawyer Wolf 6'3" | SG Tigard | 2023 State OR and now they've added someone who can get him the ball. Breyan Kelly Breyan Kelly 6'2" | CG Sherwood | 2023 State OR is headed to McMinnville to begin his college basketball career and for the 6-foot guard, he believes it's a perfect match for him both on and off the playing floor.

"It just felt like home from the second I stepped on campus," Kelly said. "I really gel with the players and coaches both on and off the court. As well as that, it's a great school, and I will be getting a great education. I am majoring in kinesiology, and the program there is very advanced and is everything I'm looking for."

On the year, Kelly averaged 12.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, and a team-high 3.4 assists while shooting just under 38 percent from three-point range, helping him earn First Team All-Pacific Conference honors. He feels that his ability to run the offense and hit open shots will allow him to fit right in on the basketball court at Linfield.

"I see myself bringing a lot to the table," Kelly said. "I believe I can score, facilitate, and defend at a very high level. I mainly want to work on improving my strength before the season, and I can always be a better shooter as well."
