Noah Asuma Noah Asuma 6'1" | SG Cherry | 2026 State MN of Cherry (6’2 frosh). Solid game from Noah using a very pretty stroke to hit two threes plus he handled some when Isaac Asuma Isaac Asuma 6'3" | PG Cherry | 2024 State #102 Nation MN was in foul trouble and did a nice job on the glass grabbing seven boards. The biggest impact made was steady decision making the 15 minutes Isaac was out as Cherry kept the lead with players like Noah continuing to play comfortably.
Carson Brown Carson Brown 6'0" | PG Cherry | 2025 State MN of Cherry (6’1 soph). Just like Noah, I though Carson did a great job maintaining composure and making smart plays on the offensive end allowing Cherry to continue to take and make good shots with their top player out. He did a good job finding Sundquist a few times (had four assists) and Carson’s three when Isaac came back in may have been the biggest shot of the game. Brown had eight points and four boards.
Greg Downs of Sacred Heart (6’5 soph). Downs did a nice job in his 20 minutes off the Eagles bench out-fighting some NLA seniors for offensive boards and scoring on all three shots he took in the paint. Had a nice six point, four rebound game at state.
Alex Lester Alex Lester 6'7" | C Nevis | 2025 State MN of Nevis (6’7 soph). Alex is a player that we saw at the Crossover Classic and impressed us. Today he really impressed against a veteran team scoring 20 points with 10 rebounds. RTR has veteran size and they could not keep Alex off the glass as he had four o-boards leading to him making half of his dozen shots and getting eight of twelve free throws to go down. Had a couple blocks and got his length to the ball for three steals and deflections. Impressive showing.
Isaac Sundby of Sacred Heart (5’2 fr). He might be small but Sundby is quick as they come and he blasted into space and whipped out passes for teammates for regular shot attempts, those shots just didn’t go down much for Sacred Heart. His nine minutes was full of quick push and fast attacks for shot creation. Look forward to seeing Isaac in the future.
Noah Sundquist Noah Sundquist 6'3" | SF Cherry | 2025 State MN of Cherry (6’3 soph). My gut feel tells me that Noah has a chance to be either a scholarship wing at the division two level in some way (either decent portion partial or low partial) or a top MIAC recruit. He went for 30 points today on 14 of 15 shooting as he is one of the best slashers I’ve seen in a long time in Class A basketball. He has the explosion to finish above the rim, the hustle and speed to attack or cut to space, and he knocked out a couple threes as the face-up touch is solid too. As he continues to mature physically and become a higher IQ player he is only going to get better.
