Kelderman changed the beat of the drumb for the Wolves as he kept on the gas offensively and was the backbone behind a 17-4 run in the 2nd quarter. He scored from all 3 levels, and played with extreme confidence in doing so. The senior lead guard was perfect from the foul line and had an overall efficient game from the floor. He ended 7-10, 4-5 from 3 to garner a game high 26 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds. Kelderman and the Wolves will hit the floor once more Friday night at 7PM for the 4A title game.
It wasn’t the ending that Biliew and the Warriors were expecting, however, as a remarkable season and career for Biliew came to an end Thursday night. Biliew cashed in 21 points to go along with 4 rebounds. He attacked a physical Northwest defense all night and was able to get to the rim and finish over multiple defenders outstretched hands.
Robinson was held in check during a sloppy Tigers first half. He bolted out of the gates in the 2nd half with a quick corner 3; followed up by a physical layup at the rim. A few moments later the 5’10 guard took flight as he caught a fastbreak lob which sprung a PV timeout. His 10 3rd quarter points were the driving factor behind the Valley 22-2 3rd quarter domination that ultimately won the the semifinal tilt. Robinson ended with a team high 15 points.
The Junior big impressed during the 4A semifinal as he proved to be an effective rebounder on both ends of the floor. When he wasn’t corralling rebounds he was doing his part in boxing out and keeping the Tigers off the offensive glass. Muszalski showed that he can be a stretch big and has a nice shooting form from deep to go along with his inside offensive game. He ended his season with an impressive 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Picking up 3 early fouls was not in the gameplan for the Wolves, as their leading scorer only played 6 1st half minutes. Sandfort remained composed in the 2nd half as he put together a big performance. His left wing 3 in front of his own bench brought the loudest roar of the night from the faithful in blue as they could smell the victory was in sight. He ended with 10 points and 10 rebounds, while also doing the dirty work and guarding Biliew and creating turnovers with his length inside.
